Robert Pattinson Australia Celebrates 12 Years Online Supporting the Career of Robert Pattinson
When Robert Pattinson Australia started back in 2008 I’m not sure any of us thought we would still be here blogging about Rob in 2020. Although some of us have moved on – I’m still here as is Suze and Vertigo – Rob proving he’s mighty hard to give up. We’ve definitely had some amazing experiencesover the years thanks to this site and Rob and watching his career go from strength to strength has been more than rewarding for all our hard work.
As a thank you to all of you, we are sharing this gorgeous outtake from Rob’s 2018 photoshoot at the Chateau Marmont. Thank you all – old and new for supporting us by following our site and social media. For the new followers who may have only discovered Rob through his involvement with The Batman, we have a great backlog of Rob’s work on our film pages and gallery (photos) – links for all our tabs can be found underneath site banner.
To Suze and Vertigo – thank you both for your support – I thank Rob every day for being the reason that we met. Your friendships mean the world to me. As do the friendships I have made with a few of our followers – we’ve been able to share some fun times together whenever Rob has graced our shores.
Here’s to our next adventures – although we may have to wait until 2022 since I’m not holding out much hope that there will be any travel in 2021. Hoping Rob will bless Australia with his presence in 2022 for a premiere for The Batman – 8 years is a long time between drinks Rob!
Robert Pattinson Australia Celebrating & Promoting Robert Pattinson
11 years promoting and celebrating Rob. It seems like yesterday that I started blogging about him and although like most of you, we knew what he was capable of, it’s taken almost this long for everyone else to be up to speed on his remarkable talents. I’m so glad I’m still here watching his career unfold. 2019 gave us many memorable moments including Rob at Cannes, being announced as The Batman, getting rave reviews for his performance in The Lighthouse and hopefully ending with what has been a long time coming – an Oscar nomination. It feels like I’ve been watching him for a nanosecond but Rob’s put in an incredible amount of hard work to get where he is today.
I just want to thank all who have followed from the beginning, those who have commented and those who have silently supported us. Welcome to the new followers who have just discovered us or Rob – we have quite a lot of backlog of Rob’s work on our film pages and gallery (photos) – links for all our tabs can be found underneath site banner.
Our ethos has and will always be that we don’t encroach on Rob’s private life as that is his own and should be respected. Rob’s career keeps us busy enough.
Thanks to Suze and Vertigo for the constant support and often being my voice of reason. It’s not been easy to keep up to speed this year, but it has been fun! Looking forward to an incredible 12th year.
Robert Pattinson The Lighthouse selected for Directors’ Fortnight at Cannes 2019 ~ World Premiere
The Lighthouse has been selected as one of the films to have its “world premiere” during Directors’ Fortnight this year at Cannes. FestAgent provides a great background to the Directors’ Fortnight (“Quinzaine des Réalisateurs”):
Among the various sections at the Cannes Film Festival, the Directors’ Fortnight is distinguished by its independent-mindedness, its non-competitive nature and its concern to cater to non-professional Cannes audiences, which can buy a subscription for the entire Fortnight program or purchase tickets for individual screenings.
Striving to be eclectic and receptive to all forms of cinematic expression, the Directors’ Fortnight pays particular attention to the annual production of fiction features, short films and documentaries, to the emergence of independent fringe filmmaking, and even to contemporary popular genres, provided these films are the expression of an individual talent and an original directorial style.
Program of short and feature films, and documentaries from around the world.
Awards All first features presented at the Directors’ Fortnight are eligible for the Caméra d’Or prize, awarded during the official award ceremony of the Cannes Film Festival.
The films presented at the Directors’ Fortnight are also eligible for the following prizes (based on criteria set by each partner association): the SACD prize, the Label Europa Cinemas and the Art Cinema Award.
