Michael Uslan confirmed The Batman 2 starts production on 23 November 2023
Update: 18 April 2022
The Batman will begin streaming on HBO Max on Monday, April 18 at 12:01 a.m PT or 3:01 a.m. ET. If the clock strikes midnight on the west coast and you don’t yet see The Batman on HBO Max, try refreshing the page, or logging out and logging back in again.
If you don’t have an HBO Max subscription, then, beginning on April 18, you can buy The Batman on digital via something Warner Bros. is calling “early Premium Digital Ownership,” which basically means you’ll have to pay extra. The Batman will cost $29.99 to buy, and $24.99 to rent for 48 hours, on digital platforms like Amazon Prime, iTunes, Vudu, and Google Play.
In addition, The Batman will be available on 4K, Blu-ray, and DVD on May 24, 2022. Now go get some vengeance!
According to One Take News if you are expecting to sit through the end credits for a post credit scene (as has been typical on previous superhero films), then you might be surprised:
One Take News has learned that The Batman will NOT have any post credit scenes at the end of the film. However, that doesn’t mean you should leave the theatre when it’s done. We’ve heard while there isn’t a credit scene, there is something that you might want to stick around for. We don’t know what it is specifically, but we’ve heard it’s something along the lines of a small easter egg for the fans.
I must say, hearing the film doesn’t have any credit scenes definitely caught me off guard. With all the rumors of who is in the movie and all the surprises planned, I expected one credit scene but honestly, I’m more than fine with no credit scene. We already know that the main stars are signed on for a trilogy so having a sequel be set up in a credit scene seems unnecessary.

Warner Bros UK has posted an updated synopsis for Rob’s The Batman:
Two years of stalking the streets as the Batman (Robert Pattinson), striking fear into the hearts of criminals, has led Bruce Wayne deep into the shadows of Gotham City. With only a few trusted allies—Alfred Pennyworth (Andy Serkis), Lt. James Gordon (Jeffrey Wright)—amongst the city’s corrupt network of officials and high-profile figures, the lone vigilante has established himself as the sole embodiment of vengeance amongst his fellow citizens.
When a killer targets Gotham’s elite with a series of sadistic machinations, a trail of cryptic clues sends the World’s Greatest Detective on an investigation into the underworld, where he encounters such characters as Selina Kyle/aka Catwoman (Zoë Kravitz), Oswald Cobblepot/aka the Penguin (Colin Farrell), Carmine Falcone (John Turturro), and Edward Nashton/aka the Riddler (Paul Dano). As the evidence begins to lead closer to home and the scale of the perpetrator’s plans becomes clear, Batman must forge new relationships, unmask the culprit, and bring justice to the abuse of power and corruption that has long plagued Gotham City.Â

The Stars at Noon (via Screen Daily Cannes Bumper edition) is being presented by Wildbunch at Cannes Market 2021. Rob’s name seems to have been inadvertently omitted from the cast, but I’m not worried because Claire did say she would wait for Rob. Barnstormer Productions is also not mentioned, so this copywriter might be going off old information.
I will post any updates concerning the Cannes screenings on this post.
