2013 started off with a bang  for us Aussies.  Rob attended The Golden Globes before jetting off to Australia to film The Rover.  We all were eagerly anticipating confirmation of the Dior rumour, Rob reuniting with David Cronenberg in Map to the Stars and hopefully filming Queen of the Desert, Mission:Blacklist or Hold On To Me.  Well we might not have seen Rob on set of all those films, but we were certainly kept on a roller coaster about them.  QoTD is currently “filming” and we had information that M:B might start filming in the second quarter of 2014.  What we weren’t expecting was for Rob to sign on to movies with Dane DeHaan (“Life”), Benedict Cumberbatch (“The Lost City of Z”) or Juliette again with Tim Roth *squee* (“The Childhood of a Leader”).  Talk about bonanza.  We finally had DiorRob and it was like all our Christmases came at once and still keeps on giving.   I’ve put some fave Dior moments in but I didn’t over do it.  If you want to see #DiorRob we have a dedicated page here.  We might not have had Rob on movie sets in the second half of 2013, but we certainly had him rubbing shoulders with some of Hollywood’s elite.   And who can forget Rob turning up to Beyonce’s concert – I truly think Beyonce was a little star struck if you ask me.  Or that bizarre prank for the Death Grips movie “Misoneism”.   Aussies still couldn’t get enough of Rob and so he was invited to present Blue Tongue Films with an award in LA for Australians in Film.  Well that’s what happens when you are an honorary Aussie.  I saw some comments that the Aussies just put on these awards so that they could have a night with Rob.  It does sound like an Aussie thing to do and can you really blame us.  2013 also gave us a side of Rob that was truly wonderful to see – his compassion when visiting the LA Children’s Hospital and the glee he had supporting the GoGo Campaign.  If 2013 is a sign of Rob moving onwards and upwards well then I cannot contain how giddy I might become in 2014.  It’s going to be an epic year and well there always seems to be so many “fandom psychics” that I’m going to attempt to predict 2014 – *placesfingersontemples* “Rob is going to have a stellar year for his career and there will be more unexpected roles that will make us twirl and and attempt cartwheels”.  Pretty simple really.  So before I head off to buy a few more ovens for my kitchen because I won’t have enough capacity to bake all those humble pies … let’s look back at Rob during 2013.

I’ve teased about this on Twitter and I realised when I started compiling it that 15 mins of Rob just isn’t enough.  Enjoy Part One.  I’m about to start working on Part Two … who knows there may also have to be a Part Three.  2008  gave us so many wonderful moments.
