Josh Horowitz talked to Colin Farrell about The North Water (which is a book I’ve been meaning to read for eons) and of course The Batman. Here is a snippet of what Colin had to say – you can listen to the rest of the interview on either of the links below or at Spotify. His praise for Matt Reeves is so encouraging – not that I thought I could get more excited for this film.

Thanks @thebatfilm for heads up.

Late Free Cinema talks to international (Australian) stunt performer, Harley Durst. He talks about The Batman at around 11.40 (watch a snippet below thanks to The Art of The Batman), but you can listen to it HERE. Great interview if you are interested in stunt performing. Harley’s is Rob’s body double obviously.

Thanks @TheBatFilm for heads up

Robert Pattinson The Batman Filming Until February 2021

Colin Farrell (Oswald Cobblepott|The Penguin) was recently on The Ian Dempsey Breakfast Show and talked a little about filming on The Batman. He confirmed that he will be shooting on and off until February February 2021. Listen to the podcast by clicking on the link above – The Batman talk starts around 6:44. No surprise then that the film has been pushed back to March 2022 which gives Matt Reeves ample time to finish the film.

Thanks to Batman on Film for heads up.

Charlie Carver mentions The Batman during his Push the Envelope Podcast

AVClub spoke with Charlie Carver (who with his brother Max) is working on The Batman. Below is an excerpt from the article, but you can hear what Charlie has to say in the podcast by clicking below – Batman non-talk starts around 40.33:

Charlie Carver was in London filming The Batman when the world fell apart earlier this year. “I’d actually just sort of finished a sequence and was debating on whether or not to fly home to Los Angeles or spend some time in Europe while they were on location,” the SAG-nominated actor says on the latest episode of The A.V. Club’s podcast Push The Envelope. …

It was ultimately be almost six months before filming could resume on the Matt Reeves movie, but “I don’t think it messed at all with the storytelling at hand,” says Carver. “And I’m now currently in London, production is back,” the actor adds before acknowledging star Robert Pattinson’s positive COVID-19 diagnosis, which briefly shut down production again in September. “We had a little bit of a well-publicized incident on set, but they’re taking such good care of us…and such attention to safety. It’s actually making me quite hopeful that not only will the entertainment industry—not only is it resilient, but it will adapt accordingly, and adapt very, very well to whatever comes its way.”

The Film Stage – The B-Side Celebrate Robert Pattinson

image host

The Film Stage’s – The B-Side is celebrating Rob’s career – not so much the successful films that Rob’s received acclaim for, but the movies that he made in between. From The B-Side:

As his star rose, Pattinson would get weirder and weirder in his role choices. The ultimate result is a filmography primarily built by B-sides. Today, Conor and I focus on four: Remember MeWater for ElephantsQueen of the Desert, and Damsel.

We bring up that GQ profile that got some traction at the start of quarantine, The Takeout’s attempt to make Pattinson’s “fast food pasta,” the quite-memorable ending of Remember Me, the impressive life of Gertrude Bell (on which Queen of the Desert is based), and the tragedy that nobody has watched Damsel.

Zoe Kravitz Talks Robert Pattinson and #TheBatman Costume

John Horowitz spoke to Zoe and unsurprisingly brought up Rob and The Batman costume. Here’s what Zoe had to say when Josh asked what it was like to see her buddy Rob in the costume (The Batman talk starts around 43:40):

Oh it was amazing. I mean – he’s Batman when he’s wearing that costume he’s Batman. It’s interesting, it’s like you don’t really get used to seeing Batman walk past you because we’ve all grown up with this character. It’s like a pinch me moment all the time and he’s wonderful, he’s really wonderful. And there some times when I have moment especially when I auditioned I remember just feeling silly and he was only in half the suit because it was just a camera test and we’re adults and we’re dressed up like Batman and were doing a really dramatic scene and sometimes it’s like it’s happening and sometimes this is funny…the script is phenomenal.
