Robert Pattinson Wins .@FANGORIA Chainsaw Award for 2020 | #TheLighthouse
Finally, somebody recognising the incredible talent that is Robert Pattinson. He should have more awards under his belt for this role, but clearly talent isn’t what’s recognised for some of those other awards. Fingers crossed The Independent Spirit Awards are wiser today.

Robert Pattinson nominated for Best Actor in The Lighthouse by Detroit ilm Critics Society
The Detroit Film Society has nominated Rob for Best Actor in The Lighthouse. It’s definitely a stacked competition – I’ve seen all the films bar The Lighthouse and Uncut Gems and it’s definitely going to be a close one between Joaquin Phoenix and Adam Driver. Contrary to public opinion I thought The Irishman was good but Joe Pesci stole the movie for me.
In other news, The Lighthouse has also been nominated for Best Screenplay and Will Dafoe for Best Supporting Actor. I am scratching my head as to why Robert Eggers seems to be overlooked for best director. I guess he may be the Di Caprio of Directors?
The winners will be announced 9 December 2019. This is the second time Rob’s been nominated by DFCS. He was also nominated for Good Time
