Support Robert Pattinson by Voting for #Tenet | Best Action Movie of 2020 at People’s Choice Awards
To be honest if this really was the “People’s” Choice Awards then Rob would most definitely be in a lot more categories – not sure why he’s not in “Best Male Actor of 2020” – it almost seems like Rob is the Voldemort of the awards season “he who shall not be named”. In any event, we can show our support for Rob by voting for “Tenet” in the Best Action Movie of 2020 – head over HERE and do the clicking.
IndieWire includes Tenet in the best picture race for 2021
It really is too early to predict what will be in contention for the Oscars when they hit our screens, albeit later than usual, on 25 April 2021. We don’t even know if Tenet will be released in August (it’s looking less likely given further lockdowns being predicted in the US). Nonetheless, IndieWirehas decided to list films they believe may be in contention and, of course, Tenet was included:
The director follows up “Dunkirk†with a time-twisting thriller that took a year to write. Filmed on location (in 70mm and IMAX) with cinematographer Hoyte van Hoytema in Denmark, Estonia, India, Italy, Norway, the United Kingdom, and United States, the $225-million epic stars John David Washington as an operative of the organization Tenet who tries to prevent World War III, along with Robert Pattinson, Michael Caine, and Kenneth Branagh as a Russian oligarch; his ex-wife is Elizabeth Debicki. Jennifer Lame took over for usual Nolan editor Lee Smith. And during lockdown, composer Ludwig Göransson recorded musicians at their homes.
Robert Pattinson photographed with Kim Jones at the British Fashion Awards 2018
Kim Jones posted this photo to his IG in celebration of Rob’s birthday. When I saw it I knew it wasn’t new, but I realised today that it’s the full version rather than the cropped one Lulu Kennedy shared back in December 2018.
Willem Dafoe thanks Robert Pattinson in his acceptance speech
Rob lost to Adam Sander (I’m still bitter about that), but I loved how Willem Dafoe recognised his co-star and said “Lastly, it takes two to tango. He’s not here, but I share this with Rob Pattinson and remember it’s bad luck to kill a sea bird.” I thought it was extremely gracious of Willem.
Willem also shut down the questions directed to him backstage post win about Rob and The Batman (at about 1.48 and then again at 3.40) . It was fairly poor behaviour by these journos to try and get some exclusive when they should be focusing on his win and The Lighthouse. Congrats Willem you so deserved this award and recognition for an amazing performance.
