Rob on what he hopes audiences find intriguing with Bel Ami

I can’t decide whether I prefer smiling conniving Georges orΒ angry Georges better so I thought I would share some of my favourite shots, gifs and Jules edits for this Movie Monday celebrating Bel Ami. Hope you enjoy.

Rob as Batman is featured on the cover of the January 2021 issue of L’Ecran Fantastique. According to a response on what the magazine will feature, Thomas responded with “Batman is revealed to be Bruce Wayne. More seriously, we come back to the chaotic production, the vision of Matt Reeves, the choice of Robert Pattinson …” We will update this post if and when scans become available.

Warner Bros Launches Oscars Campaign ~ Robert Pattinson Best Supporting Actor #Tenet

image host

Warner Bros has officially launched their Oscars “For Your Consideration” campaign for Tenet. Rob has been included for Best Supporting Actor along with Kenneth Branagh and Michael Caine.

The Oscars this year move from their traditional February date to 25 April 2021. Rob is now in consideration as best supporting actor for both Tenet and The Devil All the Time, although according to Variety’s Award Circuit – he is outside of the Top 25 in contention. Rob certainly has some competition with a lot of focus on both Mank and The Trial of the Chicago 7 from Netflix. Nominations will be announced on 15 March 2021. It will definitely be interesting to see how this plays out.

Thanks Robert Pattinson Brasil for heads up.

Claire Denis talks Robert Pattinson & The Stars at Noon with LeMonde (France)

image host

UPDATED: 9 January 2021

Screen Daily is reporting:

Love triangle dramaΒ FireΒ by DenisΒ …. The filmmaker completed the screenplay with Christine Angot after the shoot of her Nicaragua-set romantic dramaΒ The Stars At Noon,Β starring Robert Pattinson and Margaret Qualley, was put on hold due to the pandemic. The latter title remains on the WBI slate with hopes now for a shoot in April.

UPDATED: Full interview and translation after the cut thanks to @sweenypowl

Looks like Rob won’t be filming The Stars at Noon until the end of 2021. Le Monde interviewed Claire Denis and she mentioned Rob and The Stars at Noon. The first quote is from the article, however, the full article is for subscribers only, but I managed to find this tidbit from twitter. If anyone has the full article it would be appreciated, also any corrections to the French translation would be appreciated:

At the same time, on March 16, the filming of Batman with Robert Pattinson, under Matt Reeves, suddenly quitting due to Covid on the team – he didn’t resume until September 2020. Pattinson found himself stranded in London, a nightmare.”

The director is counting the months: Pattinson is due to star in her next film The Stars at Noon , starring Margaret Qualley, but when will it be available? And can filming take place as planned in Nicaragua?

Winter will pass, then the spring of the Oscars. And maybe, in the fall, will Robert Pattinson be ready for the filming of The Stars at Noon? “He told me that after Batman he would be a mess. I’m happy. I don’t give a damn. I’m taking Robert Pattinson as he is. And he’ll take me as I am.” The director is banking on a “End 2021” shoot, without drawing any shots on the comete, we will have understood.
