Is it just me, or does it feel a bit like Christmas today?

OK, content request for producer Rob. Bring back a solid mystery series for TV/streaming. Not the silly Poirot/Marples/(or even Holmes) but contemporary drama like the ones from French/German/Nordic countries; a strong female detective like the Swede Annika Bengtzon (I still wear my sling handbag on one shoulder, never across, and walk like her) or the woman police detective/chief in the French series (I forget her name, help, Aline?); he can play the very handsome AG/DA like that French series had. Even classics in the mold of Maigret would be delicious, (Bruno Cramer anyone? He was old, had a paunch but his Maigret was to die for and I loved him) or Montalbano.

It does feel like Christmas… here I was thinking he should be on Cannes jury and why he isn’t. Meh, aim big and high. I have learned since this announcement that lots of actors who do studio or other stuff with some success have this kind of first look deal but Rob is getting it even before his big studio thing is out. I know he will do more with it than those other people.

OK RP connoisseurs, quiz time. When and where did he say this gem: “… just put a dog in every scene and everyone will be better. If they are not, shoot the dog…” then a reporter drawls…”by shoot the dog, you mean…” Rob says “either way”…LOL. I don’t know, are all other actors this funny and witty?

PM, I’m hopeless at remembering when & where details (that’s what I have Maria for LOL), but if I had to take a guess, it would be some Good Time interview. I seem to remember he had a bit of a dog theme going on in his head during that promo tour ….. haha. Unfiltered Rob is always the funniest!

LOL Sue I think that you are confusing it with his “sexual treatment” of a dog during Good Time promo that got him into trouble with PETA.
I think it was during either Water for Elephants or Breaking Dawn because he was working with animals and babies.
I miss trolling Rob. WB probably gave him first deal contract as a promise he won’t troll during Batman promo – good luck WB good luck lol.

And I am still amazed at Maria’s recall of “change from within”. I wrote what I wrote and when she said he has always said that, I was racking my brain about when and where he said that.

Maria, I couldn’t forget THAT comment if you paid me – it was the only dog reference I COULD actually recall LOL. To be fair, some days I can barely remember what I said the day before, so I wasn’t confident when I suggested Good Time. I had total confidence in YOUR recollections though, Maria! Rob has certainly perfected the art of unpredictability when it comes to giving interviews, that’s for sure.
