So the other day when I quoted Depeche Mode’s “Just Can’t Get Enough” I got an idea to do a tribute vid to Cosmopolis and maybe some recent premiere footage and I think I may have been encouraged by a few.  Anyway I started looking into it on Friday night and then … well … as much as I love Depeche Mode, I really can’t go past Marilyn Manson’s version of Personal Jesus.  So yesterday I decided to get some inspiration.  I love this version (and suprisingly a LOT of Marilyn’s music – who knew).  Anyway I’ve added some Sydney premiere footage that should be new to a lot of people, please if you are reposting source us for that because it really was given to me and I haven’t posted it on the site (the benefits of being interviewed by James Tobin *winks*).  Anyway enough of me rambling except – I’ve put in a little snippet from the Sydney red carpet that proves that you really couldn’t “reach out and touch faith” on that night!

Oh and happy belated birthday Carmel !  Sydney really did give us so much Rob goodness.

    Breathtaking Maria. There’s so many ‘best bits’ to choose from….gasping at the jacket removal, red pants, the beer, Cosmopolis facial expressions, red pants!:)

    That was absolutely mindblowing and so, so worth the wait!!!! After watching, i’m glad I didn’t know you’d made it so it could be watched on the phone Maria, my reaction and a public place were definitely better off being seperate LOL. Just awesome. Thanks you so very much!!

    OH GOD MARIA!!!! Brilliant, fantastic, goregous beautiful!!!! Thank you so much for sharing your amazing work with us, you keep outdoing yourself. It truly is a work of beautiful art.

    Love that song, but I do like it better with Depeche Mode, and if you’ve ever seen them in concert it’s a trip, when David Gahan sings the “Reach out and touch faith” part, everyone reaches out and it looks so cool to see thousand of hands reaching out. Anyhoo I’m rambling on. Thanks again Maria it really is amazing!

    OMG! *fans self* This was AMAZING @Maria. I just watched it several times with a huge grin (I was going to type ‘on my face’ but really – where else would I be grinning?? *snort*) Uhm – yeah – BRILLIANT stuff – you got so many fave pics and clips in there. Proof of what an epic last couple months this has been. Jeez – I am in awe, how do you even begin to work out what to use? Love it – thanks so much for sharing with us. *hugs* Great song choice btw!! 🙂

    Hahaha there is a method to my madness @Jules – I think I spent 12 hours on that vid – I started it around 11 am yesterday morning and before I knew it – it was 11 pm and I had the first rough draft which I always show to Michelle, Vertigo and Lise-Lou. Then I sat on it and changed a few things, but I always tell myself I’m going to spend about 2 weeks doing my next one but … like I told you the other day – the ones where I spend less time seem to be more popular. I mean when you have a subject like Rob – you really don’t need to meddle too much with perfection 🙂
