Associated Content has an article about Rob’s Walmart appearance. Here are some snippets from the article:

March 14, at the Wal-Mart Saturday morning meeting in Bentonville, Arkansas, Robert Pattinison graced the stage wearing black jeans, a black jacket and a gray t-shirt. His dark hair was styled in his famous “Edward” cut. He seemed a little uneasy addressing the large crowd, but his good nature, and famous smile cut right through the tension and warmed the entire crowd over.

Even though he appeared a bit nervous, he was all smiles as he spoke about the upcoming release of the Twilight movie, and the future shooting of New Moon, Stephanie Meyer’s second book in the Twilight Saga. He described New Moon as a darker movie than Twilight, and he said that he is “hoping that it will be a little scarier.”

Of course, all of Rob’s fans know that Pattinson has a great head of hair and a great sense of humor. One question that was asked of him concerned his hair. He was asked if he used mouse or gel to get his famous do. In great Patinson style he replied, “it is mostly because I sleep on it, and a bit of grime, and because I sleep upside down at night!” The audience again burst out with laughter.

I really loved Rob’s sleeping upside down comment.  He has such a great sense of humour.

YouTube user christin0772, whose husband works in WALMART, was one of the people who saw Rob on Saturday, when he was promoting the Twilight DVD release at WALMART’s Home Office  in Arkansas. For Australians who are wondering what WALMART is, it is probably the closest equivalent to Target or BIG W.

Rob talked about New Moon, where he said that it is a darker movie, which deals mainly about loss and reality of dating a Vampire. He also mentioned how it would be concentrating on Bella and Jacob’s relationship.

So, Rob wasn’t in Vancouver this weekend….but in Arkansas? Anyway, he’s probably back in Vancouver now. He said he didn’t like flying, but I guess being Edward Cullen means that he has to deal with his fear.

Buddy TV.com posted a slideshow about the ten ways that would turn New Moon into an Awesome movie. Well, I definitely agree with the number one…and I think the rest of them are really good ideas as well.

Here’s number their number one suggestion to make New Moon an Awesome Movie:

1. Robert Pattinson

This one is kind of obvious but really important. I’m sure the script has been written in one way or another to give Robert Pattinson plenty of screen time. However, this needs to be done in a way that stays true to the story that Stephenie Meyer told in New Moon. We know that Edward struggles with his existence without Bella and we know he struggles with his decision. Seeing that will be nice but like Bella, it can’t go over the top. Seeing Edward/ Robert Pattinson in happier moments is a must. Plus, more Robert Pattinson would make any movie a little bit better.

According to Live-PR.com, the casting for New Moon has been completed, although SUMMIT hasn’t officially confirmed whether AnnaLynne McCord, Vanessa Hudgens or Dakota Fanning are going to be a part of the New Moon cast.

They also mentioned that Paul Weitz, who is a brother and co-owner of Chris Weitz “Depth of Field Productions’ is going to direct Eclipse. Hmm….

According to the HOYTS website, New Moon is going to be released in Australia on the 19th of November this year. I was about to jump up and down and then realised that it’s still a while to go. I  can only hope that it’s not a misprint. The thought of watching New Moon one day before the official US release date? Hmm…why would it premiere here first? I wonder….
