According to Cinando, Memento Films International has been appointed the sales agent for the Safdie Bros “Good Time”.  Interesting that it says “Coming Soon”.  Only good things can come from that.

This is a great partnership.

“Memento Films International is a select arthouse international sales agent focused on tracking and accompanying high-profile, director-driven independent films. Recognized and respected for the quality of the films we represent, whether high profile fare with a medium-sized budget or cutting-edge low-budgets from emerging talents, the value we seek most is originality.”

They usually only select 8 to 10 films per year.  I wonder if they will include this film in their slate if they are attending the American Film Market coming up in a few weeks.  Also, I wouldn’t be surprised if Memento Films is the distributor for France.  Exciting times ahead.  I’ll keep you posted.

We already knew Robert was playing “Monte” in High Life.  We also knew the character name “Willow” and suspected Mia Goth might be playing the daughter, but I guess now we know for sure.

MVP Pictures Vietnam posted a subtitled trailer today on their YouTube channel and it looks like they plan to release Robert Pattinson’s “The Lost City of Z” in 2017.  No date confirmed as yet, but we will keep an eye on it.  In the meantime, appreciate the trailer (which is the same as the sales promo reel we all saw in April) with subtitles.  (Update:  MVP Pictures just confirmed to RPAU that the don’t have official date as yet, but they are releasing The Lost City of Z some time in 2017).

Film Music Reporter posted that Scott Walker’s soundtrack to The Childhood of a Leader was available for preorder on Amazon with an anticipated release date of 19 August 2016. For some reason they’ve linked the US Amazon site, but that page doesn’t exist.  Exclaim! also noted the release and Amazon page and added that the soundtrack would be distributed by 4AD, although they haven’t added to their website yet.  I did some digging and I found it on the UK Amazon site.  I know quite a few of you who will be thrilled with this news.  As Vertigo said “the soundtrack is like it’s own character”.  Brilliant.  In the meantime, above is the cover artwork and below is the track list.  You can preorder at UK Amazon here:

The Childhood of a Leader:

1. Orchestral Tuning Up
2. Opening
