WWD – Hot Under the Collar at the Dior Men’s Show With Robert Pattinson, Jamie Dornan and Sam Nivola

“Robert Pattinson was disappointed that the Edwardian collar that came with the Dior invitation was not required wear for entry into the show.

The longtime Dior ambassador joked that he did think he was supposed to wear it when it first arrived. Instead he sported a more casual jeans and blazer look for Jonathan Anderson‘s sophomore men’s outing at the house. (Still, there were plenty of guests in the audience that did take the invitation’s sartorial direction.)

“What I’m wearing reminds me so much of the kind of stuff I was wearing when I was about 18. It’s, like, almost disturbing, but it’s also kind of cool to see it all brought back. It’s funny because me and Jonathan grew up in the same era. This is very nostalgic,” he said.

But his tweed blazer was getting pretty hot as temperatures started to rise in the tent, so he slipped it off between photographer shots, and joked that his hair was more credited to wind than any styling tricks. “But I was told not to take off my coat,” chided Jamie Dornan, who dutifully kept his trench on.

Pattinson next stars in “The Odyssey,” based on the classic Greek tragedy.

“I’d literally be locked up if I say anything, but think it’s gonna be pretty amazing,” he said of the upcoming Christopher Nolan film.

It costars Matt Damon, Anne Hathaway, Lupita Nyong’o and Zendaya, as well as fellow Dior ambassadors Charlize Theron, Mia Goth and other A-listers.

“It was an amazing experience for me, and I was only in a portion of it. I’ve never seen people work harder on a movie in my life. So whatever they come up with, it’s gonna be incredible,” Pattinson said.
