Memorable Twilight Moments; Let me sign/Never Think

Hands up if you think Rob has the most AMAZING soulful, beautiful voice and you were blown away by the songs which appeared on the Twilight soundtrack?  Yup, me too.  So here they both are (under the cut); Let me Sign and Never Think and they inspired a few experimental edits to go with them….hope you enjoy. 🙂

Your oldest, newest fan here. Yesterday I feared some Twilight hatin goin on… and then this great post. I’m trying to unravel what’s happened to me since discovering Twilight, and Robert Pattinson, not two months ago. I’m sure the music has everything to with it….. cinematic alchemy to have added these gems to the soundtrack.

*waving both hands in the air* Totally there with you, Jules. Everything about this man is beautiful – his voice, his face, just…HIM. What a beautiful soul, and you capture it perfectly with these renditions. Thank you for your extraordinary artistry.
Alchemy – you have that right, Mary. I can clearly recall the impact of the first Twilight film (Rob had me at ‘hello’). It was seismic, like a frickin’ tsunami and I’m still reeling from the effects four years later. And I might point out I am nowhere near my teens. We’ve all been totally bewitched by Mr Pattinson so you’re not alone. Welcome to the Obsession Of A Lifetime!

I’m seriously loving these Memorable Twilight Moments, thanks Ladies.

@Mary – you’re not alone and we don’t really want to bash Twilight because it did (and I will acknowledge that) introduce Rob to a whole new audience. Now all we have to do is ensure that the audience stays interested in him (which I don’t doubt) to follow him post Twi career. That’s why we are still here and promoting Rob’s career has always been our goal. You have probably joined in at the best time … so much to look forward to and so much past that will be new.

Once we finish our A-Z appreciation we are going back to Golden Years because there are some of Rob’s films we haven’t focussed on and we’ve just been waiting for the Cosmo DVD to be able to fully appreciate it.

If anyone wasn’t around in 2010 when we started Golden Years – just click on the “Film” Tab under the banner and we’ve added them to each movie.

Enjoy all – because joy is what Rob brings to us 🙂

Thank you so much for revisiting the sublime soulfulness of Rob’s Never Think and Let Me Sign. Again I’m so appreciative to Catherine Hardwicke for selecting these songs on the soundtrack and using them beautifully in the film. Mary I’m by no means a young 20 something anymore I’m close to 40 however I fell hard for original Twilight the ultimate forbidden love story. BTW I’m proud to say my now 5 year old daughter knows Rob’s tracks on Twi s/track ‘oh mum can you play Rob again’.

Both my hands are up Jules, but they didn’t shoot up straight away. You see, my world stops when I hear Rob sing. It seems fitting that the only other time I have had a similar experience is when I actually saw Rob on that red carpet that wonderful day. It’s the Rob bubble.
And your edits are stunning Jules. They live up to their inspiration

@Mary – Lucky you! Discovering Rob is scary and glorious. I am always a tad jealous of newbies. Welcome

*waves hi to Mary with one hand*………..*other hand raised up in the air* Beautiful Twilight Edward, and with that young, fresh, raw voice. @Mary, welcome to the probably-nowhere-near-teens-Rob-appreciation gang…. Lol, poor Maria, always having to walk that fine line between Twi-Rob-converts (yay like me)…… I think most of us who find our way here, understand pretty quickly that Edward-appreciation fits in a separate category from all Rob’s other roles 😉 It’s not so difficult to compartmentalise (and still keep) one’s fun fondness for things Twi, once you get the hang of it. Maria you’re a great educator, keep up the good work. Oh @Carmel, I agree with you, what an awesome thing to point out…..being new to Rob was so exciting!!

@Jules… just beautiful. Am always blown away by your skill & vision.

All the adjectives chosen for Robert but to me, foremost, he is utterly BRAVE. I wish I could tell him.

Gorgeous edits, Jules! Love them…and I never tire of listening to Rob sing. *sigh*

@Mary: Welcome to the goodness that is Robert Pattinson! RPAU is a wonderful place to follow Rob’s career. And you discovered him at a great time–he has some fantastic movie projects coming up. And you may be the newest fan but chances are you are not the oldest. 😉

Love BOTH of these tracks & could listen to Rob sing all day 🙂

I recently got the Twilight movie archive book that has come out & in the blurb about the soundtrack for Twilight they only acknowledge Rob as having the one track “Never Think” on the Twilight soundtrack. I love both songs but “Let Me Sign” definitely brings goosebumps to my skin whenever I listen to it & I thought this song was brought into the movie more (when Edward was sucking the venom out of Bella’s arm) then what Never Think was (being background music in the restaurant). Just found it quite odd they didnt acknowledge him for both tracks on the soundtrack. Still love them bothe none the less 🙂

    • November 26, 2012 at 11:33 am

@Manda I think that is because Let Me Sign was only available on soundtrack if you bought from iTunes – I don’t think, although in movie, it was on official soundtrack

That’s what I was going to say too Maria. I remember being so upset when I saw Let Me Sign wasn’t on the CD version of the soundtrack. So happy when I saw it listed on the iTunes version 😀

Ah ok, got ya. That explains it then. Thought it was odd they didnt acknowledge it in the movie archive.
