We knew it was going to be a special week because not only was Brimstone slated to commence filming, but it was Suze’s birthday and I love that we all get to celebrate together.  Hope you had an amazing week Suze because in my household it’s birthday “week” not day.  Brimstone did in fact start shooting – we had many confirmations, not just from articles, but Carice van Houten teased us with a pic of her director’s chair on the Brimstone set (Spoiler Alert:  if you haven’t watched the final episode of Game of Thrones don’t read the tweets in response to that tweet from Carice).  We also had a hint this week that Lost City of Z may still be filming in August, although why Screen Daily refuses to mention Rob in their articles is a mystery to me.  It’s a trend I’ve noticed over the past year or so.  Last time it was for The Trap.  This better not have ominous repercussions … just saying.  IMDbPro introduced two new castmates of Rob for The Childhood of a Leader.  Funnily or maybe not so funny, when I googled Patrick McCullough I came across an article from back in February that mentioned his involvement.  Also, I’m pretty sure I mentioned on the Patrick post that it would be great if TCoaL was screened at a film festival and what happens IONCinema mentions TCoaL in their article that day and how it could be ready for Venice or they may hold out for Cannes.  I’m taking that as a good omen.  It also looks like sound effects have been completed for the film thanks to a tweet from Studio L’Equipe.   Did I mention how much I love being bombarded with Rob movie news.   SSNInsider shone a spotlight on Rob and how busy he has been this year.  I know there are some that think if he’s not on a film set or promo tour that he’s sitting around all day doing nothing, and I’m sure there are days when he is, but there are also days that he is doing the post production audio, attend meetings etc etc.  Not everything Rob does is documented.  He can get around unnoticed at times.  Trust me on that one.  Just to change the subject a little, how about that incredible edit by Jules for for A-Z appreciation.  It needed to come with a “hotness” alert *fansself*.  I agree with Carmel – drop the mic Jules … actually no don’t lol.  She sneakily said “oh I think I’ve got my “K” all sorted and shall post tomorrow”.   Yep you sure did!  Back to movie news – Russia finally locked in a release date for QotD and The Netherlands is thinking about it.  Japanese fans get a little treat if they purchase their tickets for The Rover in advance and WE got a little treat of those 40 HQ Portraits from the LA Press Conference for The Rover.  Love it when they get unleashed.  LIFE seems to be either getting new release dates or some of its previous release dates are being bumped up.  Either way, it’s getting released and that’s a good thing.   But where the hell is that trailer *tapsfoot*.  So in all in it was a good week for Rob films and us as fans as we head towards Queen of the Desert, LIFE, The Childhood of a Leader and now Brimstone.  Can’t wait to see what else Rob has in the pipeline for us.  Until next week …

ROB IN THE QUEEN OF THE DESERT TRAILER FINALLY ARRIVED!!!  Yes I’m excited and twirling and excited.  I woke up this morning to make sure it wasn’t a dream.  Of course I KNEW this would happen when I was laptop free over the weekend.  But I don’t mind I’ll make that sacrifice just so we can finally see Rob as T E Lawrence legitimately.  Let’s just take a moment here to appreciate the trailer which I had secretly hoped would match my favourite film (cinematography wise) which was The English Patient.  I think it’s going to give it a run for its money because the cinematography that we’ve glimpsed in the trailer is stunning.  Even Nicole, who I have admitted in the past I am not a huge fan of, seems to nail it in the scenes they’ve shown.  I really don’t know what I was expecting with a lot of the negative reviews that came out of Berlin, but it sure as hell wasn’t what I watched.  I hope we get confirmation soon from Transmission that the release is imminent (for our Kiwi followers I’ve sent an email to double check that it will be released at the same time as Oz and will let you know as soon as I know.  Transmission does distribute both in Oz and NZ though).  Since I’m on a QotD high, we had a new release date for Switzerland (German) (the cinema also listed LIFE that we already knew about, but still good to see it in print like that) and well the stills are coming out thick and fast.  I had to laugh when Vertigo said we probably won’t get too many stills otherwise we will see Rob’s entire role in pictures.  Truth!  But then we DID get some more stills. how beautiful are those stills we’ve been treated to.  I’m loving them probably a little too much.  I’m also stoked that it didn’t even take 36 hours for my request of that teeny tiny version we saw on Friday to be released in HQ.  Things also look like they are moving ahead with The Childhood of a Leader too.  Megan Wynn tweeted that she was on a shoot for a major publication with photographer Tom Munro.  Google him if you need to know.  He has done some major fashion and celebrity shoots for Vogue, Vanity Fair and Harper’s Bazaar not to mention directing Madonna’s “Give It To Me” video so …. expect something amazing (even if Rob isn’t involved, but we know for fact that TCoaL’s production team are keeping everything very under the radar so there’s hope he was).  Brady Corbet seems to have surrounded himself with some stellar people.  Another of which is Scott Walker who is doing the soundtrack and whom David Jancso also teased us about.  And that was just Wednesday.  I think it needed to be renamed Wishing My Life Away Wednesday.  I need these films in my life stat.  Michelle treated us to a walk down memory lane with Vanity Fair Rob … sigh.    As I mentioned my laptop is currently being fixed so I’ve had to beg, borrow and steal to get online occasionally this week (ok that’s an exaggeration but you know what I mean).   The iPad is great, but it really doesn’t compare to my laptop.    I found that The Rover is available on DVD in Romania in my hunt for Maps to the Stars.  I am also in a lather as to which Rob to vote for in Michelle’s incredibly difficult July choices for 12 Months of Rob (I taught her too well).  Did you read, the lucky French are getting LIFE 2 weeks earlier than they originally were expecting. Lucky peeps.  But then the world sort of righted itself and it gave us 3 HQ pics of Rob in Sydney from the Breaking Dawn 2 photocall.  I remember somebody sent me a photo of that pier the day after that shoot happened *cough* not mentioning any names *cough*.  I thought I was going to be excited this week just from the fact that in 24 hours or so Brimstone starts filming.  Martin Koolhoven tweeted “Retribution is coming” and I couldn’t be happier that it is.  Whether Rob’s on set or not doesn’t matter since at least the film will be kicking off and I will be one very surprised person if we get any glimpse of Rob on set given Martin Koolhoven’s comment last month.  I’m hoping that no sneak peeks are unleashed unless they want them to be unleashed.  Fingers crossed.  And as you can see Jules couldn’t quite decide which version our RPAU Week in Review poster she liked better and neither could I so I posted both.  Oh and before I go “BRIMSTONE IS COMING”.  Until next week …

We had been talking about bringing back our Golden Years Series for some time now with The Rover and Maps to the Stars to be added.  So I couldn’t think of a better way than to tie it in with the anniversary of the epic Australian release of The Rover.  So many incredible memories from these events.  Never thought I would be able to say – I spent 3 days with Rob lol – but I did and I can say it ha!  We also met some amazing people over that 3 day period, both fans *wavestothem* and people involved with the production of the film.  Wonderful memories.  I was back at the State Theatre yesterday believe it or not – still makes my heart flutter and I came across some of the red carpet people who were so good to us and they remembered me (although I’m not sure if that’s a good or bad thing, but they did connection me with Robert Pattinson!  Bwaha and I can think of a myriad of worse ways to be remembered).  For those who weren’t around when we originally unleashed our Golden Years series in I think 2009, most of the originally videos were deleted when Vimeo deleted our account (I’m still gutted over that).  But I still have them on my external hard drive, I just need to find the time to re upload and then update the posts *lookstoheavens*.   And as I mentioned in a comment the other day, I’m having issues with the hard drive on my laptop at the moment and so you may have noticed in the last few days I’ve slowed down a bit in finding release dates and what not.  Fear not because I have someone looking into it – I just might be without the heart of my universe for a few days *cries*.   But let’s not focus on the negative but look at the positive.  What is currently happening in the world of Rob films.  The Childhood of a Leader looks like things are moving ahead post production.  Thanks to @deesoonz who alerted us to the tweet from Post Office Films.  Let’s cross our fingers and anything else that we see it in an upcoming film festival – looks at Venice.  We got a little teased with that pic from the Dior photoshoot.  I’m going to say that Dior in Australia did tell me there isn’t a new campaign lined up for this year, but I guess time will tell.  LIFE finally got a US distributor who is going to release the film hopefully in the “fall” meaning our spring.  I know Aussies are waiting for an announcement, but I can confirm a date is yet to be locked in for its release here.  The Trap managed to find a Canadian distributor.  Is he / isn’t he.  I’m just going to sit on the fence until we have a definitive answer and will still report on it until then.  Other than that, I hope you’ve been enjoying our Golden Years Series, we certainly love bringing it to you.  I’m going to keep it short this week given the computer issues, but before I back away slowly, don’t forget to set your FOXTEL IQ because The Rover is screening tomorrow Monday 8 June 2015 at 4.35 am.  Can you think of a better way to spend the Queen’s Birthday long weekend than watching Rob as Rey on the screen. Until next week.

As we bid farewell to what turned out to be a slightly corker May, we wave frantically to June.  Brimstone starts filming in 15 days, not that I’m counting. bwah who am I kidding of course I am.   And with the surprise removal of The Trap from Rob’s IMDb page (it’s no longer showing on Pro or IMDb anymore, but we did get a mention of Rob on a casting call reminder that I posted today).  I really have no idea what’s going on as you can tell.  In very positive news, Martin Koolhoven treated us to a pre-production photo reminding us that Rob’s most definitely going to be on a set soon.  I’m going to focus on the positive.  I’m sure there’s a very good explanation if Rob’s no longer involved with Harmony’s film.  On Thursday I tweeted a pic of Guy Pearce that was taken in New York on 26 May.  That beard … I wondered if Guy had grown that for his role as the preacher.   And then I realised later, of course the beard must be for the film because all I needed to do was look at the promo poster to see that the preacher has a beard.  But it’s been a slightly tough week and sometimes my fingers go before brain.  Anyway I guess it’s just coincidence that BrimstoneMovie tweeted the storyboard artist’s interpretation of Guy’s character in the early evening (our time).  LOL I’m beginning to think BrimstoneMovie is lurking our timeline.  That’s twice now I’ve tweeted about the film and they’ve provided something along the same lines.  Remind me to tweet something about Rob post 15 June – third times a charm they say.  Thursday also gave us those gorgeous portraits of Rob during the US Rover promo.  So much hidden goodness out there am pretty sure it’s criminal of them not to share sooner.  I did find that great black and white photo of Rob on the Cannes red carpet for Cosmopolis and the Remember Me stills.   Werner Herzog’s website also gave us a slight look into a date when Queen of the Desert may be released in the US.  Things are so quiet when it comes to both QotD and Life aren’t they.  I like slow burn, but I think this is taking it to a whole new level.  Turkey of course is giving their Rob fans Life in September.  Did you read Dan Stephens insightful article on Rob?  No?  Well you better click on that link below as soon as you finish reading my ramblings.  I swear Dan is in my head.  Fantastic article.  Love his quotes.  Love everything Dan said about Rob.  And before I go let me thank Jules once again for spoiling us with those edits.  They are just brilliant.  Until next week …

Holy Freakin Moly.  We thought it was a great start to the week when Rob’s involvement with Red Nose Day US was announced.  What a champion.  I wondered to myself if he would be involved when I received an update about it in my inbox and saw Sienna’s name mentioned.  But then Tuesday came around and we saw Rob attend the “Heaven Knows What” premiere in New York at MoMA (thanks again @deesoonz for the heads up).   As I said in the post Heaven Knows Something alright.  Holy Smoking Guacamole can that man sizzle.  And here I thought Tuesday had a good start just because I did a throwback to Cannes and The Rover from last year.  Since we’re talking Cannes, I have been holding my breath waiting to hear anything about sales of The Childhood of a Leader.  So far not very much has been said other than this article I tweeted from Deadline that includes it in titles titillating Cannes buyers.  I also liked this comment “not all of these are intended to sell; some will light the fuse for deals post-Cannes, or even at future festivals like Toronto. There are a lot of stars in the mix on these projects.”   Then we see a tweet from the editor for The Childhood of a Leader sharing that it’s had a private screening for guests – wonder who the lucky individuals were.  I know I’m probably in the minority but after the onslaught of teasers during all the Twilight movies that didn’t really leave much to surprise us in the cinema, I love love love the secrecy surrounding Rob’s recent films.  From David and The Rover to Brady and tCoaL and let’s not forget Martin Koolhoven’s cheeky comment about Pattinson fans in the interview where he confirmed that Brimstone is most definitely commencing filming on 15 June 2015.  How cool is it that Jack Roth (Tim Roth’s son) has joined that cast.  My oh my what a brilliant day Tuesday was.  Sorry still going on about it.  How freakin gorgeous was Rob’s little promo vid for Red Nose Day US though.  That man.  But I can’t believe they gave Rob the car keys.  LOLOLOL Rob as the Valet in the Red Nose Day  US sketch was gold.  I’m still laughing at Sir Ian McKellan’s teleprompting and Helen Mirren’s reaction to “chai”.   That little smirk of Rob’s when he got the keys to the car, him revving the engine … haha.  Michelle and I did a couple of flashbacks via A-Z apprecation of Rob on tonight shows.  He’s always a dream guest in my books.   And Korea is finally getting The Rover in cinemas – you might recall that it had a screening on 2 May 2015 at the Jeonju International Film Festival.  How great is that UHQ poster that I posted.  I love this little gems I find when I’m looking for something completely different.  Much like this mockup for Cosmopolis that I didn’t post but tweeted about that I came across this morning.  These distributors are full of gems.  You just have to find the time to find them.  It’s pretty cool.  Until next week ..

I don’t know where to begin.  Rob’s birthday, Cannes markets selling distribution deals for Rob’s films, current films finding distributors – it’s all happening.  What a week.  We started celebrating the lead up to Rob’s 29th birthday early, but not only did we get to celebrate Rob’s birthday (how fortunate were we to be treated by Jules with those icons, edits & wallpapers.  We’re blessed I tell ya), we’re celebrating some great updates for movie news as well.   Queen of the Desert finally found a US distributor with a potential release date in September 2015.  No doubt Turkey should also see the film then since they tweeted that they would release same time as US.  Brimstone found some financiers in New Sparta Films and they let us know that filming would be happening in Germany and Spain in June with some shoots in Romania later this year. Brimstone also “inked” distribution deals with France and Germany *tapsfootAustralia!*  They may have also teased us with a pic of a ranch being built *whispersinasecretlocation* and we all got excited because isn’t Rob’s character supposedly hiding out on the ranch owned by Carice van Houten’s character.  Carice also tweeted a photo of herself being used as a lifecast by UnrealFX.  Things are happening a la Brimstone *twirls*.  Cannes is also happening sans Rob in person, but his presence is still there.  I tweeted a full page ad that Embankment Films has taken out in the first edition of Cannes 2015:  Screen Dailies – love seeing Brimstome mentioned.  More news out of Cannes concerned The Trap.  I’m ignoring that there was no mention of Rob – semantics.  We also found out that it will be filming early 2016.  I found some more distributors for Queen of the Desert and Life – slowly but surely.  I’m still disappointed that neither film made it on the schedule for the Sydney Film Festival but if I’m being honest, they haven’t had any classification confirmed yet in Australia so am keeping a keen eye on that.  I came across and tweeted an uncropped version of one of the Esquire phototshoot pics, but it was so small it wasn’t worth posting separately on the site.  Am still hunting for a larger version of it.  You know it’s out there somewhere.  I loved that wider shot to be honest.   We were also treated to that photo of Rob from Cannes 2014 Vanity Fair|Armani Party.  Again, just teasing us because seriously WHY IS ROB NOT THERE in 2015.  Oops sorry.  Lastly I tweeted the Japanese version of The Rover trailer – I miss that film so much.  Hmm it’s release is 2 days after my birthday – Tokyo is only an 8 hour trip away – could I justify a weekend in Japan *tapschin*.  The music is so hauntingly beautiful.  I’m lucky to have been given a copy of the soundtrack by Porchlight.  Treasured memories.  Until next week …
