Jamie recently took part in Wired’s “Autocomplete Interview” and had this to say about Rob. From The Insider:

Jamie Dornan admitted he was envious of his former roommate Robert Pattinson‘s early luck in Hollywood at the start of his career.

“I’ve known Rob forever,” Dornan said while participating in the latest edition of Wired’s “Autocomplete Interview” video series, released Monday. “He’s a really good friend. I love him. I think he’s one of the most interesting, exciting actors around.”

“I probably at one point was quite jealous early on,” the Irish actor continued. “We were all friends back in London and Rob was going places and we weren’t. I think he’s the nicest guy in the world.”

“I think with Rob it’s always been like, he sort of had success earlier, so we were a bit like, ‘Does he really fit in with us?’ Because we were not working and he’s working all the time,” Dornan explained to Entertainment Tonight in March 2022. “He did ‘Twilight’ and was suddenly in a different stratosphere than us.”

Jamie talked Rob to Variety in relation to an article where he slams fan backlash about casting, which he’s more than familiar with considering the backlash when he was cast in 50 Shades

“Prejudgment is such a fucking disease,” Dornan recently told Esquire about fan backlash to high profile casting announcements. “It’s a disease in all our culture. In my line of work, sure. But in general, people prejudge people based on fucking anything really, and it’s very sad. Look at the reaction when Rob got cast as Batman. It was like 90% negative.”

Circling back to Pattinson, Dornan added, “And all the naysayers love what Rob has done with Batman.”

Amanda Bell from wrote an article about Sam Bradley’s shows in LA on 25 and 26 May.  Since it’s another quiet day I thought I would post a clip of Sam performing the song that he co-wrote with Rob recently.  Now the clip that was used in Amanda’s article has been removed, but I’ve found another one thanks to YouTube user jOcOse.   During the introduction of the song Sam says “it’s a true story to someone” and as Michelle and I suspected, although he doesn’t say it here, the song is autobiographical. Sam confirmed this at his show on 30 May and it makes sense that Rob would be able to help him write it.  I wonder if this is one of the songs Rob spoke about “composing” for a soundtrack – I’m hoping it might turn up on Remember Me. Although “composing” rather than singing has me thinking could that be the music for the CD he gives Bella for her birthday in New Moon?  Always teasing Rob, always teasing – in any event Rob working on a song is always “music to my ears” .

According to Amanda Bell from Examiner, Rob has apparently gotten himself a “crew” .  Yes you heard correct, Rob’s new gang (um – where can I sign up), the “Brit Pack”, is about to take over the US.   If you want to find out more about who’s in Rob’s “crew” (like we didn’t already know), you can do so here.   There are also exclusive interviews with Bobby, Sam and Marcus.

Amanda Bell from Examiner recently spoke to Sam Bradley about his shows in Vancouver, an album release, “Rob” and possible music for New Moon.  Well a lot of us have been waiting anxiously for confirmation that Rob’s been writing some new music and we don’t have to wait any longer.  It’s good to see that whilst they were together in Vancouver they have penned a new song.  Here’s the Rob and New Moon related extract from the interview:

Well, I asked Sam if he and Robert Pattinson were up to anything together in Vancouver (while Rob films The Twilight Saga: New Moon with co-stars Kristen Stewart, Taylor Lautner, Nikki Reed, Kellan Lutz, Ashley Greene, Peter Facinelli, Jackson Rathbone, and the rest of the cast), and he said that “yeah, we’ve written a really good song.”

I asked him whether he might be submitting his work for the The Twilight Saga: New Moon soundtrack, and Sam says that while he “could” submit something for consideration, but that he doesn’t “have anything to submit just yet because if [he] was to submit anything it would need to be at a further level than where it’s at right now.”

Fingers crossed we get to hear Rob sing something new soon, but only time will tell.  You can read the full article here.
