I’m still gobsmacked that this film was not included at The Sydney Film Festival, but at least NZ got it right.  The New Zealand Herald broke the news this morning that The Lost City of Z will be screening at this year’s New Zealand International Film Festival being held between 20 July to 6 August 2017:

What it is: Charlie Hunnam plays British explorer, Percy Fawcett, following the true story of Fawcett’s quest to find an ancient lost city in the Amazon and his disappearance in 1925, along with his son, while on an expedition.

Why you should watch it: Exploration action, history, and star power – this film also stars Sienna Miller and Robert Pattinson – what more could you want?

And the NZIFF confirmed on their website.  I will update with ticket info and times shortly.

Screening dates after the cut

I was so excited when the SFF lineup landed in my inbox. I was sure it would be included.
    Enjoy Kiwis. I’m rather jealous.
