Jérémie Couston is currently at the Sundance Film Festival reporting for Telerama France where he had the opportunity to speak with Scott E Chester, the production manager for Damsel, albeit under the strangest circumstances:

Just forty-five minutes from the Salt Lake City airport, which we did with Scott E. Chester, who gave us our first scoop of the trip. Because when this inhabitant of Park City is not chauffeur for the festival, he works in the cinema. Last fall, Scott was production director on Damsel, the new film by brothers David and Nathan Zellner. This western, with Robert Pattinson and Mia Wasikowska in the lead roles, was shot in the mountains around Park City and Scott believes that the film will be presented at the upcoming Cannes Film Festival.” (my emphasis)

Fingers crossed, I know how much we all love Robert at Cannes.  The deadline for feature film submission is 10 March 2017.  Although that doesn’t mean if submitted it will definitely make the selection, but it might explain why the Zellners are editing like demons.
