I’ve been lucky enough to have seen The Rover 3 times so far and quite frankly I can’t see that film too much.  So incredibly moving, I finally know what you already knew ;)  Anyway, I’ve been doodling with photoshop and thought I’d share with you all.  Ah Rey….

ABSOLUTELY PHENOMENAL. Extraordinary. Stunning. Beautiful. Astonishing. Staggering. Amazing. Fabulous. Those words describe you @Jules, your talent, your edits, The Rover, Rey, Rob ~ everything! Thank you.

Three viewings so far? Let’s call it ‘research’ for your edits. And one can NEVER do too much research, right?

*sobsobsniff* Jules – you are going to have to establish some type of support line for the women who’s hearts are breaking while looking at your beautiful edits
Those eyes are killing me. Some of your best work yet. I die

I love how you’ve managed to capture the sun-faded grittiness of the film in your beautiful compositions, Jules. They’re like perfect postcards from this bleak yet strangely uplifting movie. Rey’s innocent loyalty really is so gut-wrenching – I love that Rob picked up on the whole dog analogy – by following Eric around like an abused puppy, Rey inadvertently found Eric’s weak spot. Jules, the images are heartbreaking enough, but the poems/lyrics you team them with send them to another realm completely. So beautiful. Thank you.
