Oh look they’ve used one of my first comments I made when we first saw the movie. Without darkness, there can be no light.

How beautiful is this still. Sigh

    Very Zen Vertigo. Love it.

Every time I see “The Rover” I have a new favourite part, this time it’s the part where Eric is attending to Rey in the truck and Rey turns his beautiful face with that heartbreaking smile to look up at Eric. Such a beautiful moment.

    Beautiful still.
I’m the same @Silvie. So many incredible scenes. Can’t possibly choose a favourite.

They sure did @Vertigo – are they trawling your TL or they heard you say it after the screening. Nowhere is safe ha!

They have indeed Vertigo. They’re using your material, what’s with that!!

Such a beautiful still, I LOVE it.

Me too Silvie & Sue. I just LOVE the scene you mention Silvie, I was only thinking about it earlier, it’s such a beautiful moment.

I am loving the way they are releasing these beautiful images with the quotes. It seems someone has been taking a leaf from both Vertigo and Jules. Smart

Such an emotionally charged film – no way can you just sit through ‘The Rover’ and watch passively without feeling the emotional and physical pain the two protagonists are going through. For all of Eric’s cold-blooded, murderous violence, I felt real pity for this character. So much pain behind those eyes. And Rey was just that – a ‘”rey” of light in the darkness of Eric’s blighted life. Watching Eric’s defences slowly slip as Rey’s innocence and loyalty quietly work their magic is a thing of stunning beauty. I was moved to tears many times during this movie. I think it’s going to stay with me for a long, long time.

So perfectly put Trish, I could not agree more. I saw the film for the second time 5 days ago & it is still on my mind & the same thing happened to me on the first viewing. It effects you mind, body & soul & stays with you long long after you leave the cinema. So many beautiful moments, so powerful. Rob & Guy are just phenomenal, I can never say that enough.
