You know what struck me the most about The Rover (apart from it being so believable it was terrifying)? Rob’s performance. And not because it was extraordinary (because it was) but that, apart from his character being ‘not normal’, Rob was as good in this as he has been in previous roles. Critics are calling this his best performance yet. If they took the time to look back at his roles in Little Ashes, Water for Elephants, Remember Me, Cosmopolis and even the first Twilight movie, they’ll see it was there all along. What’s changed is THEIR perception of HIM. Rob has always been a brilliant actor – some were just too hung up on his public image and his exceptional looks to give credit where it was due. David has provided an awesome opportunity to change how the world looks at Rob. Rob’s talent was there from the beginning – they only had to watch him without the negative blinkers on.

PREACH @Trish PREACH! I saw Dave from The London Film Review retweeted my article I wrote for him back in September 2012 saying that I pretty much said what all the critics are now saying. If you haven’t read there’s a link on the sidebar 🙂
