Thanks for posting them, I love Edward but I still prefer Rob as Jacob Jankowski or his other characters. In the first screencap Edward seems made of ax, he looks strange. I don`t really understand why they don`t use the kind of makeup used by the vampires of True Blood, for example. Sorry, just my opinion.

P.S. I posted my comment again because I forgot the w of wax in the first one.

No @LTav that was my point last week when I was told I was “crushing the spirits” of the twifans. The quality of these films is so not spot on … they have made billions from them and yet it seems second rate to me in the costumes, the CGI I don’t know – I just think they rushed to do them all obviously because Rob just can’t look 17 and they can’t change him because like we always say – Rob IS Twilight I don’t care what anyone else says …

OMG ….. spent the last 2 weeks without WIFI, nearly killed me ….. but I guess a Rob famine is worth it if you can return to a feast ….. Rob, Jacob, Eric, now Edward …. thanks Maria!!! I bet you had a hard time making those screencaps!
I’m off to see WFE tomorrow for the 3rd time … tried to sneak another viewing in London, while my hubby and 5 yr old went to the zoo …. but alas, my plans were thwarted …… apparently that’s NOT how you’re expected to end an o/s holiday …. go figure!

Maria ITA about the CGI but I beg to differ with LTav (nothing personal) as a fan of the books, it looks like they may have got the make-up better in this one (did I hear correct something about Rob bringing in the make-up artists from W4E for BD?) If Rob looks like he’s made of wax then that might be truer to SM’s novel descriptions of perfect/smooth granite-like skin (Hardwicke’s Edward was too chalky I thought, in the close-ups? Personally I would note that Charlaine Harris’ vamps are an entirely (& R-rated) different breed from SM’s mythology)
It will be interesting to see how the rest of the make-up works out as they go through Bella’s transformation to look more like Edward’s complexion. I just adore the dark/hungry contacts & am looking forward to seeing more Edward on the big-screen as an early Christmas present 😀

Thanks Maria for the caps. You are so right Rob is twilight. I am agreeing with LTav he does look like a wax statue, a beautiful wax statue, but wax none the less.
The only thing that’s getting me exctied about this movie are those shoulders! Wow!!!!
