How exciting for all you girls. How can you remain composed??? Believe me I would have definitely been fired today if he was coming to California. They would have to call someone to put me on a straight jacket. But that would just get all the crazy out of my system. So I would be totally composed and mature when I would actully be there ha ha ha.

Hey, if any of you have to make a road trip and can’t afford accomodation, I can have two people stay with me.

    @ephie

@Teresa – not sure if tickets will be available – premieres are usually by invitation.

However, we will find out and let people know – it’s still early days … I know that people will line Market Street though to catch a glimpse of Rob on the Red Carpet 🙂

    • March 18, 2011 at 1:24 pm

I just googled the State Theatre and it does look splendid. Just the right kind of venue for this movie, it has an old world feeling about it.
I do think a cruise on Sydney Harbour is a must for any visitor and I hope Rob gets to experience that.

    Maria

    • March 18, 2011 at 1:36 pm

@cat it was in spam – doesn’t like one of the words you used – i’ve left it in but let’s not bring them in to rain on our parade LOL. Nothing is as insane as the US, but time will tell.

    • March 18, 2011 at 2:08 pm

    ok, then again:
    @ephie
i have no doubt that he will be treated with respect. aussies are the most chilled, relaxed people on the planet, from a foreigners view.

i can’t believe this is happening. it is going to be superstrange to see him in person. it was weird enough to see the wiggles live.

I’m wasn’t dreaming. Rob is coming!!

The State is a beautiful venue. That is very exciting. I’m also pleased to see Christoph Waltz will be here too.

I expect I’ll be one of those lining Market Street. Only winning tickets to the Premier would keep me away.

@Maria – I hope goes well for you during your busy time. Hugs. x

Hi @cat, I know what you are saying but Rob’s fans can get so carried away that we cannot be sure how they ‘ll behave.
So are you going to be there at the premiere?

    • March 18, 2011 at 3:01 pm

@ephie the State Theatre is so regal – I haven’t seen a movie there for awhile but I remember it had an organist who would rise out of the floor and do a musical introduction. It’s so classy how could they not hold it there. I used to work a block away from it and so I’ve seen many premieres happen there from a distance

    ephie

    • March 18, 2011 at 3:17 pm

That sounds really wonderful @maria. It should make a great first impression on all of them.
So are you hoping to get an invitation? I would be so thrilled for you girls are you work tirelessly here on this blog.

    • March 18, 2011 at 3:43 pm

Hey girls not all US girls are crazy. Well maybe just a bit (me included in those bits), but a few of us know how to control ourselves, and show respect.

    Cindy

    • March 18, 2011 at 3:48 pm

Just wanted to say good luck for next tuesday Maria hope all goes well and your up and about a.s.a.p. oxxo

    ephie

    • March 18, 2011 at 3:54 pm

Don’t worry Martha we know that you are not all crazy. Hey we are all a little crazy when it comes to Rob aren’t we? But the young teens who scream and scream when they see him…now they are the ones that ruin it for all of us IMO. Even when I was much younger I could never understand why people did that…watching old footage from Elvis’s concerts for example, I could never ever understand why girls acted that way and I still don’t.

    Maria

    • March 18, 2011 at 3:59 pm

@ephie I think it’s just how some people deal when they are overcome with emotion. Personally I think Rob’s the only person on earth that can and would just render me speechless.

    Maria

    • March 18, 2011 at 4:00 pm

Thanks @Cindy – i’m having surgery Monday – so peeps expect silence from me … you might as well enjoy it – it’s probably the only time it will happen LOL.

    ephie

    • March 18, 2011 at 4:35 pm

I guess it can be…I just don’t really understand it. And I would like to think that I would not be rendered speechless if I saw him. I would try to be polite and nice and wish him all the best for the future and his career.

I hope your surgery goes well and that it is nothing too serious and that you will be back to your talkative self very very soon. Will be thinking of you xx

    • March 18, 2011 at 5:06 pm

@Ephie thanks. I totally understand about those fans you’re talking about. I would maybe call out his name and cry, but never scream or throw myself at him. When I was younger I was the biggest Bee Gees fan (well I still am), my parents took me and some of my cousins go to see them, they performed at Dodgers stadium. When they came on stage. I was so excited I was crying like a baby, in my defense I was still a very yooung, but that’s when I understood about the way the Beatle fans and like you said Elvis fans react. It’s so exciting and emotional to see someone you really love and admire, that you can’t help buy to cry or at least I did (but then again I cry at everything. But I wasn’t screaming or trying to throw myself at them. I would never do that.

@Martha M – My youngest daughter always wears labels like ‘crazy’ as a badge of honour. As she says ‘who would want to be normal?’ I think you are definitely a justifiably proud crazy. Not one of those crazy crazies that Ephie was referring to.
BTW: We have a fun musical quiz show here in OZ called Spicks and Specks. As you are an honorary Aussie, you need to know this stuff.

I was watching Sunrise this morn waiting for the Big news when my son comes and changed the station OMG *panic* i couldn’t believe what he did. I took the remote off him and told him i’m waiting for very important news about Robert Pattinson and my son just rolls his eyes.. he just doesn’t understand.. anyway i’m not working that day and only 30min drive to city. State Theatre is a beautiful venue very appropriate for the occasion. You guys are great.
