“Robert Pattinson poses with an alligator on the April 2011 cover of Vanity Fair, Gossip Cop is told.
Legendary photographer Annie Leibovitz shot pics of the superstar for the mag’s cover story, which is tied to the release of Pattinson’s upcoming film Water for Elephants.
As for the four-foot reptile, Pattinson’s alligator pal is a nod to the Louisiana set of Breaking Dawn.”

@Vicky the mind boggles – only productivity for me is trying to guess as to the pose – in the water, straddling *praystoGod*, profile shot looking at it eye to eye – I’m sure the alligator would have been putty in his hands …

@lids I don’t like to suffer alone. Vertigo & Michelle are at work – Michelle has no access – she doesn’t know about the alligator yet although I’ve sent her a message. Lise-Lou is probably just waking up and doesn’t even know these have surfaced yet – I have to come and play with all of you.

Yes @ephie I tweeted this morning that Rob sure knows how to rock a hat – any hat. He is pure BLISS. It’s really funny because I stepped outside this morning at about 6.20 am and the morning was so crisp and fresh (my fave time of the morning) – I just had this serene and happy thoughts wash over me and immediately thought of Rob – strange story but true – and then I logged on.

LMAO @lids re “Stockholm Syndrome” hahaha – can you imagine what is going to happen to us when he does a shoot or we see stills/set pics from Cosmopolis. Seriously there must be so many photographers clamouring to take his photo – he’s just perfection. Campbell Mitchell who took Rob’s photos for Summer House told me that it’s impossible to take a bad photo of Rob. I have to agree with him 100% – there’s no way I’m going to argue with a professional.

God I’ve missed so much. I was in meetings all day long, then went out to dinner with some friends. Maybe it was a good thing, because there is no way in hell I would have been able to concentrate, or get anything done, after seeing these pics. @Maria the alligater is Louisiana’s state reptile. And if any of you girls can’t get VF let me know, I’ll get it for you. There’s no way you can deprive youselves of that, I won’t let you. Thank you so much Maria for all this exciting news and for posting these gorgeous pictures. I can only imagine what the final pictorial will look like. AMAZZING *squeeeee*!!! I’m so wired up I don’t think I’ll be getting any sleep tonight. But then again when do I?

@Maria no worries. And believe me the whole time I was in those meetings I kept thinking on what I was missing. So I wasn’t really concentrating, but If I would have seen these before, then for sure I would have been totally lost. My mind would have been on Rob & alligators.
