Reality Check On Rob’s Gorgeous Details Cover
Who can ever forget the first time they saw this:
*sigh* no matter how many times I see this cover, I still have the same reaction I did when I first saw it back in February – just takes my breath away. No surprise AT ALL that it sold 67,000 copies.  Here is all the info:
Reality Check on Details cover:
The best-selling issue from the Jan/Jun 2010 rate base period, this sexy cover sold 67,000 copies…33% more than their overall average for the statement. It also sold 14% more copies than the same time slot in 2009.  I’m sure the 10th Anniversary sky bar didn’t hurt the sale either.
According to ASME copy, “Details wanted to, in the words of photographer Norman Jean Roy, transform Pattinson from “teen-idol vampire boy into a more adult version of himself.†To achieve that, creative director Rockwell Harwood decided to rent a gothic mansion outside of Los Angeles, hire several female models who were willing to spend an entire day naked and dress a 23-year-old British heartthrob in high-end designer clothing.â€.
I know I speak for the majority of us when I say how much I love this shoot.  Seriously how anyone could not appreciate the beauty and tastefulness of this shoot I will never understand. Just fantastic and I still remember that “person” who got on here and objected to the pics Pmsl!! she got the short sharp shiny shift really quick didnt she!!! I searched so many newsagencies for this magazine and was ecstatic when I finally got my hands on a copy. It also, like Carol’s, sits proudly next to Rob’s Vanity fair issue. No dog eared pages here, each page is turned with kit gloves, creases across Rob will just not do! Thanks Michelle, I’m putting those gloves on now, I think I need to revisit.

LOL Carlisa, sounds like me. I was ecstatic when I found the mag in my local newsagent – they only had one copy too. Details & VF take pride of place in my drawer tucked away safely & no one else is allowed touch/read them haha.

OMG Michelle I just remembered I missed my friend’s daughter’s christening because of the Details pics – hahaha – remember. Oops I could have sworn the invite said 5.30 pm, but who could have been coherent that afternoon.
