Gorgeous!!! For once I have to disagree with you Maria. It wasn’t just this scene but the whole movie!!!!

@Vicky – you can disagree if you like, but Rob wasn’t in the whole movie, but I suppose you mean all his scenes. I found some of them awkward, not because of Rob but the lacklustre performances of the other people in the film, I’m loathe to call them “actors” because that would mean that I actually thought they could act. I know I’m probably on my own here, but I have to disagree with everyone that said this is the best out of the 3. Sorry not for me. Summit why did you change directors, but kept the person who has probably ruined every one of these films – Melissa Rosenberg, please stop writing scripts – for the love of God please. Oh and to the others in the film – stop overacting – you will never be in Rob’s league so give it up.

Yes I did mean all of his scenes Maria but I do agree that was some awkwardness as well. I only watch the movies because of Rob as all of us do. Don’t think you’re on your own about best movie. After thinking about it I think Twilight is still the best of the three but Eclipse was my fave book so I have a special spot or it. Agree with you about Melissa Rosenberg that should have been the first change that was made.

Oh @Vicky – YES! I can’t believe i’m going to say it but Twilight is my favourite of the movies too – there is a rawness about that film and I think Hardwicke captured the feel of that book perfectly. I’m not sure how I’m going to endure BD because I hated that book and I just can’t see how they are going to transpire any of that onto the screen without it being cringeworthy especially considering who is in charge of writing the script.

When Rob was onscreen, that’s all there was. Everything else just faded or became annoying background noise. As for speaking out loud about the rest [insert Tyler voice], I’m still undecided.
Rosenberg however, brings my blood to the boil and knows nothing of intimacy nor pivotal moments integral to the story. She is in desperate need of a looong vacation.

Love this still & Rob in this scene. He is so wonderful in Eclipse, another amazing performance. He completely owned & stole each scene he was in. When he was on screen, it was like no one else was even there. When he left the screen, I was just tapping my foot in boredom & it wasn’t worth even watching anymore until he returned once again. No offense to the people who liked the film, but you all know Rob is my one & only reason for watching. He deserves more screen time than he received in this film – way more & I cannot wait for HIS upcoming films that bring him & us just that. A FF Edward is essential on the DVD – it is a MUST! If not I will be spending a lot of time with my finger on the FF button of the remote. Please be smart people & give us what we want!

Tyler 😀 Now RM is what I call a brilliant movie.

I agree with you both Maria & Vicky. Twilight is most definitely my fave out of the three movies so far & I think the best. Catherine Hardwicke got it right. When watching Twilight, the feel of it is just spot on I think. Rosenberg needs to stop writing scripts now. Her script barely even resembles the Eclipse story. I agree Vertigo, send her on a very long (preferably permanent) vacation. She was the one that should have been replaced – not the director.

Okay now that i’ve really thought Eclipse through and i’ve gotten passed all the excitment i felt before watching (because it was my fav book) i dont really think i like it that much 🙁 they’ve tried to make it too epic or something. i dont know, i cant quite put my finger on it. And dont even get me started on Rosenberg. They SHOULD have kicked her off after Twilight. WHAT WERE THEY THINKING?!
One positive: Edward was Edward… Rob you made that movie watchable. Thank-you once again for being the only reason i watch these movies.

@Renee – I think the problem with Eclipse is that it seems rushed and the pivotal scenes were skimmed over. Actually I’ll tell you what’s wrong with it in my opinion – OK if you haven’t seen the film and don’t want it spoilt – STOP READING NOW.

For some reason Rosenberg and Summit have decided that Eclipse was more about Bella and Jacob’s relationship rather than Edward and Bella and Jacob as background noise that just won’t go away. I know Bella has to make a serious decision in this book, but Slade for some reason focussed on the “fight scene” which sorry guys wasn’t that freakin epic and Ronsenberg ignored the controlling and manipulative side of Edward. Now to me that was pivotal to the relationships and her decisions – but for some reason they made him look like a lapdog and that’s not who he is. And as for the love – where was that – she treated Edward like crap. Sorry this movie was just major fail for me. And as for chemistry – well I’m still looking for it because I didn’t see the chemistry that was evident in Hardwicke’s film. And don’t even get me started on the supposed scenes people were crapping on about being in the film because I must have blinked.

Sorry everyone I told Michelle and Vertigo I would keep tighlipped until the movie had been released worldwide, but I just can’t keep it in today. Especially when I see pics of Rob and Reese in film roles we KNOW Rob willingly chose after reading the scripts. The only choice Rob willingly made in relation to Twilight was Hardwicke’s movie – he never got the chance to read the dribble he has to now work with and I find it hard to believe he would have willingly chosen to take on these roles – but that’s just me and I could be wrong – it has happened before lol.

Totally agree Maria. Bella most of all in this movie I so wanted to slap her face!!! What a whinging whiney manipulative little b.

Yes Maria, well said!!!! That was my feeling too. I said after the premiere I thought it was Jacob biased but my friends said it was me who was biased for Edward. Glad I’m not the only one who felt that way. It has always been about Rob as Edward and that’s not likely to change and to try to make him play second fiddle is just not on!!! God knows what they’ll do with BD. It can’t come soon enough that we get to see Rob in other projects like W4E and BA. Not sure about some of the other people in these movies but there is so much more ahead for Rob and I can’t wait!!

Mmmmmm love this still and agree Rob definately stole the show. I did not let myself get hyped up for this movie as I did before NM, to avoid disappointment however I still came out disappointed. For me too it was problems with the script. As Maria said it felt rushed and pivotal moments to the story were left out. It seemed so disjointed and despite that I have read the books too many times to admit, even I couldn;t follows sometimes what was going on. God help anyone who hasn’t read the book! I HATED the portrayal of Edward was definately different from the book. There were some great things, ie Rob’s performance and I will say it again and again he looked amazing, but there was also a lot of bad.

But at the end of the day Rob nailed it and that’s what I paid my money for 🙂
