@Maria I get excited when Robs on screen too.

IT SO GOOD! I got up at 11:55 last night to watch it as soon as it came out. Call me obsessed, I will accept that 😛

PS: You can see Bella’s engagement ring when they are in the meadow.

Well, You know me, I love Twilight, but I have to say – not jumping head over heals….:( this is my fave book…I do like it of course but…leaves something to be desired..thanks for the post, i’ll probably watch it a few more times and change my mind, but it’s Rob so it’s all good.

Oh absolutely @Jane. I will be watching RM over & over & over. Would love to go see it again now. I haven’t stopped thinking about it since yesterday. One amazing & powerful film.

There is only 1 cinema in Tasmania showing RM!

    • March 12, 2010 at 10:37 am

Well I saw RM last night and loved it as I knew I would, Rob is awesome and so are the performances surrounding him. I’m with you all, I will totally watch it over and over. Got home about 11.30 and stayed up to see the Trailer as they didn’t show it as a preview – much to my disgust. I know you aren’t a huge Twi fan Maria – so thanks for posting anyway – I now have 1 click access to the trailer all day – you have made me a happy girl.

    • March 12, 2010 at 10:56 am

Hi Penny, you are a Tasmanian too? 😀 It is so unfair that Remember Me is only being shown at selected cinemas here in Tasmania. Cmax Devonport, Burnie Metro & Eastlands Village seem to be the only ones. Have you seen the film yet? It’s not being screened in my city 🙁 but I travelled to the closest cinema to see it yesterday. Rob’s peformance is just breathtaking. How these cinemas can overlook such a brilliant movie I will never know – they are absolutely insane.

    Maria

    • March 12, 2010 at 11:05 am

Ahaha @Angela – 2 points for actually reading my rants. Ah yes well it’s still Rob and we do support him in whatever he does and so I can’t really not post, plus I know there are so many of you that love it – how can I disappoint! Yes just read over my rants and enjoy Rob (and whoever those others are).

    • March 12, 2010 at 11:08 am

IKR @Jane – it’s so hard to get excited about Eclipse when we have this phenomenal movie with Rob in 98% of it and um yeah well he’s actually got an amazing cast with him (sorry again to Twi fans but you really can’t compare the quality of RM’s cast to any of the Twi). Allen Coulter and Nick Osborne you are genuises – I have to say I ate my words when I saw Emilie’s performance – when we first heard she was cast it was like – WHAT? Having seen the entire movie I can’t imagine anyone else in those roles. And yes I think it’s really unfair of Summit to try and steal away from Rob’s thunder with RM with tacking on Eclipse trailer – i’m glad it wasn’t screened here in Australia – it would have spoilt what was an incredible experience appreciating Rob at his best.

*waves hi* @Temain – that eye is still freaking me out. Hope all is good. I knew that trailer would bless us with your appearance! Hahaha – hope you get to see Rob in RM – well worth it.

    • March 12, 2010 at 11:46 am

Hi Michelle- yeah I’m from Launceston. I phoned village to see why it isn’t being shown here and she said “limited release movie”- only showing at Eastlands. Didnt mention D’port or Burnie. Where did you see it? Sometimes it sux being in Tassie. We are the only state not to get the Anzac Day hol!! Anyway will travel anywhere to see Rob

    Michelle

    • March 12, 2010 at 11:58 am

Hi Penny, I am from Launceston too. Village first told me we wouldn’t be receiving RM then they told me we would be then changed their mind again *shakes head* They did say we may receive it at a later date but I’m not holding my breath 🙁 It sure does suck being in Tassie at times. So so unfair. I saw it at Cmax yesterday but would love to be able to see it many many times over. Hate that we can’t. Definitely would travel absolutely anywhere to see Rob 😀

Ok, I’m back. RM was was all and more than I expected it to be. With this amount of anticipation I was a little worried it mightn’t live up to the hopes I had, but it did that and surpassed them.
Rob turned in a career building performance and had me holding my breathe most of the time. I did really have to be reminded to breath.
Emily was perfect for the role and Ruby was amazing.

@Lids & Cindy – I’ll add my voice to everyone else’s. RM is well worth the wait. I am in total awe of what Rob does. I know you’ll love it. Everyone will, whether a Rob fan or not.

Thanks M&M for the no spoiler policy. I can go back and look at all those trailers that I avoided, now 

I just want to hug you all at the moment. I hope you know how I’m feeling. I have no right to feel proud for Rob’s work in RM, but I do. This is almost a sacred moment. The time when others see what all the Rob fuss has been about.
    I’m being over the top.
    I’m gushing.
    I’ll stop.

Counting the hours!! I am so excited about this film. I have said this before and i will say it again Rob is such a talented intelligent amazing sexy young actor/man and i think the rest of the world has finally caught up with what the rest of us REAL Rob fans have known for years.

4 hours 20 minutes to go…the excitement is building…if it can build up any more 😉

It’s good I am not working today, I don’t think I could contain myself at work and concentrate on what I am doing.

Carmel, I know I’ll love it, I have never doubted Rob and the roles he is doing.

I’m with you Sare, not enough Rob and I’m going to add, TOO MUCH Jacob (again).
I honestly don’t recall Bella having to make a choice? It was always Edward and wolfboy was just background noise. Well that’s how I remember it.

    • March 12, 2010 at 4:35 pm

Also on first thoughts about Victoria – she looks too much like Madonna in that shot, which is going to prove very distracting. I miss Rachelle already. Maybe Bryce’s acting will make up for it?

I’m only getting excited about seeing Rob on the big screen again – as for the story, Eclipse was my fave book so I’m really going to be on the down low about getting excited – protect myself in the event that they kill it.

Thanks for posting Maria, it’s always nice to get a little Edward fix, if only it were a 98% fix all the time.

I totally agree Maria and wish to add that … Summit may of showed guts in taking on Remember Me, BUT they show a LACK OF FAITH in Rob’s abilities and the movie by having planned to release the Eclipse trailor in order to fill cinema seats. RM can do it all on it’s own thanks, did they not sit down and watch it.

Oh god I said this out loud didn’t I.

    Michelle

    • March 12, 2010 at 5:30 pm

Absolutely Vertigo, that is what annoys me so much – the lack of faith in Rob & this amazing film. It’s like they are saying, well if we don’t put the Eclipse trailer in front of Remember Me hardly any one is going to go. Yeah right, whatever you reckon. Us Rob fans need NO incentive to go along to a Rob film thanks, none at all. Rob is perfectly capable of bringing people in on his own & everyone should know that. If you are a TRUE Rob fan you don’t need anyone to tell you to support him – no one. Absolutely Vertigo, people who think that RM cannot stand on it’s own have obviously not even bothered to take the time to sit down & watch.

    Carmel

    • March 12, 2010 at 5:44 pm

II agree with Vertigo (again. This is a bit of a habit). I miss Rachel too. Eclipse was also my favourite book and defiantly the instalment I have been most looking forward to.
However, I’m still on a RM high and don’t want to have anything to do with the Twi Saga for a little bit. I’m glad they aren’t linked here in OZ.
I’m going to RM again tonight. I might try and get to the Ritz as thanks to them for the LA screening.

    Maria

    • March 12, 2010 at 5:54 pm

Oh @Vertigo – they need to push these other people otherwise who is going to hire them. Rob has clearly moved far ahead of the pack given that Allen Coulter was wise enough to get him on board for RM even before the Twi madness happened. He knows a great actor when he sees one and he clearly saw one in Rob. As for the others – pfft – lets see if anyone is talking about them in 10 years time – actually I’d go as far as saying 2.

    Lids

    • March 12, 2010 at 6:01 pm

yep Maria, I think 2 years is a fair estimation

    Maria

    • March 12, 2010 at 6:04 pm

Ok @Vertigo – I’ve just gone back to have a look at trailer since i only watched once. OMG what the hell have they done to the Volturi – they look like they are dressed to attend a 70s revival rock concert. I’m scared very scared at how bad this movie might be. The wig on Bella – cringes. If I have to endure the abs of Wolfboy during the trailer I can only imagine how many gratuitous scenes there are going to be. I get it when he morphs he loses his clothes, but seriously TayTay you could tell them no occasionally. I don’t see Rob getting his shirt off in this one for the sake of movie sales – oh yeah he doesn’t have to – that’s right we will go and see him for his talent. Oh dear lord can the volturi not dispense with Melissa Rosenberg and her cheesy/corny scripts. Rob I pray every day that you won’t have to endure the tragedy that is BD – i can’t even bring myself to say it.

    vertigo

    • March 12, 2010 at 6:21 pm

Really Michelle? These people most definately haven’t sat down to watch – either that or they weren’t lucid at the time.

hahaha Maria! So true, someone has to push their careers! btw, my money’s on 2 years.

Enjoy your Rob/Tyler fix tonight Carmel!

The Volturi will help dispose of Rosenberg as long as Alec can bring his smoke machine along to the massacre …

See, here is what I think happened. The Volturi were actually on their way to a Village People revival when they were sidetracked by eau de Jailbait. Much to their chagrin, they also ran into Bella who wouldn’t appear as the ‘stached up police man they so sorely needed to complete their look (Dan being the construction worker, Alec playing the cowboy, Charlie being the biker and Dakota being in the military). As a result, they kidnap the Dog and make him their Chief. He then proceeds to try and convince Bella he is indeed a “Macho Man” and that they should “Go West” because honestly, “We can’t stop the music”. She agrees to join them (it’s always been her dream to appear in a crappy biopic about a second rate music group) on the condition that they make the adventure into a major motion picture peened by Rosenberg and off they go.

… at this point in time Edward (not distraught that Bella left, but elated) runs off to Vegas to become a showgirl coach because he feels everyone should truly realise their potential to “sparkle”.

While there, he stumbles into Victoria (Rachelle, NOT Victoria Version 2.0 Bryce) who declares she has commissioned the rest of the Cullen’s to turn on Carlisle, all become feral and hunt down Bella (and Melissa Rosenberg, who is also pay rolling this disaster-piece)before her Village People revival goes viral and we’re subjected to more of her craptacular whining. Charlie and Renee both agree they should have never procreated and I live happily ever after. The end.

    ( … what? too much?)

Pmsl!! Hanna You crack me up girl!!! Too funny!!!

    Hanna

    • March 12, 2010 at 6:52 pm

    Why thank you Cindy!

She says as she trades her Village People cd for the Bee Gees, slips on her bell bottoms and grabs her hair brush mic …

    Tragedy!
    When you lose control (Jasper)

and you got no soul (Edward/Bella … take your pick really)

It’s tragedy (Twilight as a whole)

When the morning cries and you don’t know why (Anyone who saw the aforementioned trailer)

It’s hard to bear (Emmett, naturally)

With no one beside you, you’re going nowhere (85% of the cast … in 3 years time …)

    Hanna

    • March 12, 2010 at 6:54 pm

… I swear to God that song should be on the BD soundtrack. Because unfortunately, it WILL get made and dang’nabbit if it won’t be the biggest tragedy since the invent of curly fries …

    Maria

    • March 12, 2010 at 7:35 pm

LMAO @Hanna – I’m scared you’ve put too much thought into this but having said that … Young man, there’s no need to feel down, I said young man, pick yourself off the ground – hahhaa that could be jailbait’s theme song.

    RD

    • March 12, 2010 at 7:35 pm

Blah Blah Blah….. I can’t really get excited because I don’t think it could ever do the book justice.

    Maria

    • March 12, 2010 at 7:38 pm

Oh @Hanna you are being generous giving them 3 years. In fact some of them haven’t capitalised on Twi yet almost 2 years down the track.

    Sammicat

    • March 12, 2010 at 7:43 pm

    have faith people!
atleast the rest of the cast get to stretch their legs this time – they’ve all been kept buttoned down in the previous films. anybody following PeterF on Twitter while they were filming Eclipse knows they had a lot more fun this time. (PeterF is funny when he can cut loose in other shoots)

    Hanna

    • March 12, 2010 at 7:44 pm

@Maria – “Young man … there’s no need to feel down, I said young man! Don’t drop the soap on the ground …”

I would continue but I fear being censored as their are minors abound …

    Maria

    • March 12, 2010 at 7:52 pm

How so @Sammicat – more than the last 2 films? Seriously I’m still not over Ashley Greene’s overacting and the sad sad cheesy lines they gave poor Klutz. I’m not a fan of his, but even I felt sorry for how they made him look like an idiot. It’s not so much that I don’t have faith – it’s I know how bad Rosenberg’s script is.

    Hanna

    • March 12, 2010 at 7:57 pm

Ladies and Gentleman, hell just froze over cause Maria just gave KLutz a compliment … the second one this MONTH!

    *bows down to Maria*

    OH and –

Anyone following PFuch on twitter knows how much he loves to whore out other cast members to promote his own agenda, Just check out his condescending tweet regarding Rob and RM yesterday.

    Maria

    • March 12, 2010 at 7:58 pm

@Hanna I agree – I used to think PFach was funny until I realised he ended up being worse than Klutz in whoring out Rob’s name whenever he wanted the rob sites to pimp him. I saw his tweet yesterday – not funny but it got him noticed. You know what “I blame Jenni Garth”.

    Hanna

    • March 12, 2010 at 8:00 pm

… not cool dude. Not cool.

    Damn you Jennie Garth!!!

Oh girls you have made my nite !! Just too funny!!! Now tell is it the movie adaptations of the books you object to or both the books and the movies?

    Anna

    • March 12, 2010 at 11:54 pm

personally i object to the movie.rosenberg couldn’t have done worse.the adaptation was unsuccessful and i think that twilight doesnt help rob’s career.i liked the movies but they re nothing like the books.and am annoyed by the fact that they equate rob with edward.luckily RM is shutting their mouths.

    gonna fight for rob LOL

    vertigo

    • March 13, 2010 at 12:12 am

Oh I did not know Rosenberg did the script for K’s new movie? I am strangely and very quietly mortified that she is still on the loose. Back to the cauldron to see what to cast next.

btw, we must now withdraw the name jailbait, he turned legal last month. Not that I’m counting because I’m still going to look at the freakin ceiling aren’t I.

    Maria

    • March 13, 2010 at 8:15 am

@Anna I don’t think we can honestly say “Twilight doesn’t help Rob’s career” because it clearly has and I’m not embarassed to admit that. It’s helped in that people now recognise who he is. Before that he was just an indie artist (which I kind of miss). Even Rob has said on many occasions himself that if it wasn’t for the success of Twilight then some films and scripts would never have been offered to him. That unfortunately is fact. Remember Me itself took 4 years before anyone was interested in actually backing it. We have to thank Summit for having the “balls” to run with it (of course Rob’s involvement was undoubtedly an impetus for them).

What Twilight doesn’t do is provide Rob with material with which he can truly shine – and I suppose Cindy this is part of the answer to your question last night. It’s the scripts of Twilight that make me cringe. I’m sorry but New Moon was my favourite book, I was waiting for big things from Chris Weitz, but Summit you really really needed to find a better scriptwriter than Rosenberg. I’m not sure why she decided to introduce some comedic relief into New Moon – there is nothing comedic about that book. The line where Bella turns and tells Edwad to shutup – oh yeah funny to what a 12 year old. Real nice promotion of how to treat your other half there (sorry soapbox moment). Edward I so wished you just slapped her into oblivion after that. Hell knows I’ve been wanting to do it since Twilight. Her writing is banal and so I’m not getting excited with Eclipse because I know what to expect and that will be pure [feel free to insert your own adjective here].
