MTV Awards to Premiere New Moon Trailer (Updated)
 
We had heard that Rob (Kristen & Taylor – I’m obliged to mention them too) were to be presenting a snippet of footage from New Moon at this year’s MTV Movie Awards on Sunday. MTV has now confirmed that what they will be presenting is the first official trailer from the movie. Screams of delight – will there be footage of the breakup scene, the clocktower (like we can get enough of that), Eddie and Jacob fighting – ooh the suspense.  Well unfortunately for us Aussies, we won’t get the Awards until 4.00 pm on 1 June, but thankfully MTV are going to upload the trailer onto their site on Sunday night 10.45 pm (LA time) – that’s about 3.45 pm Monday 1 June (Sydney time). If you want to save the link for ease on Monday, click on the highlighted MTV above, but I’m going to have to practice patience since I’m expecting the amount of hits on that site will cause it to have a serious meltdown – oh and I know I should have included the New Moon poster with this post, but seriously …

That’s great news that the trailer will be uploaded on the net, as my TV reception is pitiful to put it mildly, and anyway on 4th June I’m going to a concert at the Vanguard.
For the rest I’m pretty sure that Rob’s bit will show up on YouTube before I get back home… hahahaha! 😉

the awards are shown in australia Monday June 1st at 4 pm on MTV,(any cable network- austar, foxtel etc has this channel)

its also shown live on monday, so i doubt the trailer would be available at 3:45 if the awards don’t start till afterwards..but who knows? lol.

Hi Amysty – thanks for updating – originally we weren’t getting it until 4 June (I was relying on my memory). But as for being live – I don’t think so. Monday 4pm (Sydney time) is Sunday 11pm (LA time), the awards will be well and truly over considering that the presentation of the clip is at 9pm on the show. My reference to 3.45 pm is in relation to the clip being shown on MTV’s website.

I cant believe australians have to wait a day longer, its not fair, luck i have the internet to search on the net to find it before it even comes on t.v, sometimes it just sucks living in Australia, as we alllways get things later!

Yes it is annoying, but it can be viewed on a blogpost but you need to fill out a survey and provide your details, so I’d rather just wait. The good thing though is that we are definitely getting New Moon the day before the US, so there is some justice for a change.
