Respecting Rob because actions speak louder than words.
Thanks for your beautiful message Rob but enough with the chatter, it’s our turn.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY MICHELLE!!! You are one of a kind and deserve to celebrate this special day among the many Robs you love and adore. Here you will find a reflection of some moods and moments you’ve shared and celebrated with us on our Rob journey.
You are an amazing woman and friend and I’m soooo glad to have found you. Thanks again Rob for bringing us all together – my heart is full … I mean it.
haha Maria and I sat up waiting until you went to bed last night to get our posts done, you didn’t peek did you? lol Have an amazeballs of a day *cheers*
For our final Golden Years post for this week celebrating Rob as Rawdy, Richard, Georges, Jacob & Bad Ass Cops, thought we would share just a few more faves. I have enjoyed spending time with these characters so much this week & just absolutely CANNOT WAIT until 2011 is here & we can meet Georges & Jacob on the big screen *sigh* The closer it gets, the more excited I become! Tomorrow of course marks the start of a brand new Golden Years week. Who will it be – hehe all will be revealed tomorrow *smiles*
A mix of delights for you today, starting with Rob as Rawdy in Vanity Fair. I don’t have to repeat how the blind man was put in charge of editing, we all know this – yet when I catch that glimpse of Rob in this sadly misplaced footage, why is it his is the only performance I’m zoning in on. Bias? I don’t think so. Even back then you could feel a strong presence. *thumbs up* Umm btw, apologies for the teeny first 3 caps, this is what happens when you only have lost material to work with. Moving along … aaahhh Richard. How dare you steam up my screen when you appear for those 3 minutes of bliss. If what’s her name isn’t interested, feel free to walk this way. I mean it!
So what about something more recent? Who could forget Rob as himself while playing opposite Tom as Les Grosman. God we laughed so hard that day didn’t we … and if that wasn’t enough, they later broke out Badass Cops. Did somebody ask for a light? Well didn’t I just need one! Goodtimes all round and Rob proved once again that he is a master at comedy. It felt like we’d won the freakin lottery!
And now, we have so much to look forward to. We’ve all read the books (most of us), we’ve all seen the snaps, we’ve all been patient and tried to stay alive in the process of the wait, hell some of us have undergone Boot-Ami camp to ensure survival. There’s nothing left now but to unleash them to us on the BIG screen ….Georges will most probably break my heart and Jacob will mend it.
Well I guess whoever decided that Rob deserved to be on the cutting room floor is pretty much kicking themselves now or has been for the last few years, that’s for sure. Imagine the DVD sales – just imagine. For those who haven’t seen Rob’s short scene in Vanity Fair, then this is going to be a treat. I wonder if Rob and Reese had a little laugh about how far he’s come now – from playing her son in 2004 to – well you know there’s no Oedipus complex involved that’s for sure. You just never know where life is going to lead do you. Anyway enough of me chatting – hit play and listen to the wonderful dulcent tones that I miss so much – ooh just remembered Rob has an English accent in Bel-Ami *squee*. Oh and Rob looks pretty dapper too, but that goes without saying.
For our Golden Years series, this week we have decided to mix things up a bit & share a variety of Rob’s work both past & upcoming. We will be bringing you goodies from Vanity Fair, The Summer House, Bel-Ami, Water For Elephants & Bad Ass Cops. Yes we know the last isn’t ‘officially’ a Rob role but we all know that it SHOULD & NEEDS to be – please please let this film be made *prays*. Plus it’s just too awesome not to include. To kick things off today, here are a few gifs of Rob as Rawdy Crawley in Vanity Fair (why on earth they cut Rob’s scene I will NEVER EVER understand) & also Richard in The Summer House. Not too much footage to work with for these ones but of course those fave & gorgeous moments are still there no matter how short the footage is. Even with the short screen time Rob is given in both of these roles, he still delivers such a wonderful & memorable performance. So talented & this was just the beginning for him. Enjoy everyone!
Oh & just have to say, how I cannot wait to see Rob & Reese together again in Water For Elephants. Seeing this footage of them acting together fueled my excitement for the film even more if that is possible. 2011 is getting closer by the day *squeeeeeee*
