Songs from A Room (Slightly Longer)

If only I had the software to edit out her voice (sorry no offence whoever she is), but talking over Rob is as serious an offence as tagging his face!  This is slightly longer, plus it has Rob on the UK fan event last year confirming he will sing again when he’s ready and YES! thank God he was back in January.  Thanks to our friend Aeren at our affie Robsessedspain for the vid!

Angels never sound this good (Updated)

I barely have words to express the bliss of waking up to Rob’s vocals today.
This clip was taken last January when Rob made an appearance on Songs from Another Room. A series of live performances in people’s loungerooms across London. Turn up the volume and ignore the voiceover at the beginning – Rob singing … Le swoooon.

    Updated to add: Additonal footage!

    Both Rob parts as one.

With thanks to our affie TwiBritneyFan and elite affie RPlife for the additional footage.

Even Thought of Leaving – new song cowritten by Rob

Amanda Bell from examiner.com wrote an article about Sam Bradley’s shows in LA on 25 and 26 May.  Since it’s another quiet day I thought I would post a clip of Sam performing the song that he co-wrote with Rob recently.  Now the clip that was used in Amanda’s article has been removed, but I’ve found another one thanks to YouTube user jOcOse.   During the introduction of the song Sam says “it’s a true story to someone” and as Michelle and I suspected, although he doesn’t say it here, the song is autobiographical. Sam confirmed this at his show on 30 May and it makes sense that Rob would be able to help him write it.  I wonder if this is one of the songs Rob spoke about “composing” for a soundtrack – I’m hoping it might turn up on Remember Me. Although “composing” rather than singing has me thinking could that be the music for the CD he gives Bella for her birthday in New Moon?  Always teasing Rob, always teasing – in any event Rob working on a song is always ”music to my ears” .

    Hugh Jackman talks about Rob

The Insider caught up with Hugh Jackman at the Hollywood premiere of his new movie ‘X-Men Origins: Wolverine’ & when asked about his karaoke session with Rob in Japan he told them this:

The guy has got a voice on him, there’s an album coming. “If he wants to do it, there’s an album coming.”

We couldn’t agree more Hugh. Rob’s voice is just so beautiful & one that deserves to be heard & appreciated by everyone. If Rob was to record an album & release it, it would make me one very very happy person. I have also included the video below so you can hear Hugh’s comments for yourself.

Little Ashes Soundtrack Preview from Spunk-Ransom

Thanks to our partner, Spunk-Ransom, who worked for hours to get this up on Daily Motion – we now have a preview of the ‘Little Ashes’ Soundtrack. The soundtrack preview came from SIN LIMITES, the Official ‘Little Ashes’ movie page. You should go and check this website. It looks amazing! There’s one problem though, it is entirely in Spanish and I have no clue how to get around. I was completely lost.

This will sound really cheesy but when I first listened to it, I almost cried (esp on the ‘Bicycle in Cadaques part’). It’s very beautiful, but the best part about it is how  it literally brings you back to the movie. I’m so jealous of everyone in the States, who will get to watch this movie very soon, on the 8th of May. As for us Australians, we might only see this movie on DVD in September  – unless we do something drastic to change this.

Amanda Bell of Examiner Reviews “How To Be” Soundtrack

    art-smiling

Amanda Bell from Examiner received her “How To Be” soundtrack (not autographed which means there’s one more out there for us!)  and seems to have been pleasantly surprised.  Here are the comments she made about Rob:

“In fact, this particular album is by far one of the most unique compilations I’ve laid my hands on so far. Each song, or in some cases “snippet” of dialogue from the film, is interesting its own way, and, yes, we get a lot of Robert Pattinson.”

“Of course, Robert Pattinson’s contributions are in character – they are all pieces of his performances from the film, but they are no less amusing or tantalizing. While his talent is on obvious display, it is muffled by a sense of witty self-deprication and muted aspiration. In short, it is very entertaining.”

“Over all, the How To Be soundtrack did not disappoint. Remniscient of the quaintness and fragility of the characters, especially Robert Pattinson’s character Art, as well as the oddity and good nature of the film’s essence itself, the soundtrack is a credit to its relative feature film, and any fan of the film or its cast will surely enjoy the work that has been done here.”

Again Amanda, you are preaching to the converted.  However, if you want to read the full article, you can do so here.
