    Eclipse On FOXTEL Box Office

I was just browsing through the FOXTEL Box Office movie guide via my remote to see if they had Eclipse listed yet & yep there it was listed under coming soon.  For all of us with FOXTEL/AUSTAR, we can see Rob as Edward on our TV screens from Wednesday February 9 – yay!  I know we all own Eclipse, but it’s always exciting to see Rob’s films screened on TV.

Rob’s Next Film Role – Don De Lillo’s Cosmopolis (Updated)

I’m not sure if this is true , but I can’t even begin to tell you how much I love Don DeLillo novels. According to Deadline New York … this:

“Robert Pattinson has booked his first major lead for when he completes The Twilight Saga. Pattinson will star in Cosmopolis, the Don DeLillo novel adaptation that David Cronenberg wrote and will direct. Pattinson, who just starred with Reese Witherspoon and Christoph Waltz in Fox 2000′s Francis Lawrence-directed adaptation of the Elizabeth Gruen novel Water For Elephants, will play Eric Packer. A financial wunderkind, Packer risks his entire fortune to bet against the yen on a tumultuous day. His deed puts him in the crosshairs for assassination in a drama that is a study of capitalism in a slightly futuristic metropolis. Most of the scenes in the book take place in the limousine that transports Packer from place to place. Marion Cotillard and Paul Giamatti are also reportedly doing the film.”

However, IMDbPro states Colin Farrell as Eric Parker.  Time will tell if Deadline really did get the exclusive or they are just pulling our chain.

Thanks to Lion_Lamb for the tip.

    UPDATE:  According to the Playlist:

“We have to admit, our first words upon hearing this were: “What the shit?” Haters gonna hate, but like it or not, Robert Pattinson is in a position to get things green lit, as he is taking over for Colin Farrell in David Cronenberg‘s “Cosmopolis.”

Based on Don DeLillo‘s book of the same name, the film follows 24 hours in the life of a newly married billionaire Eric Packer (Pattinson) as he cheats on his wife, is pursued by a stalker, gets attacked by a protester and gradually loses his entire fortune over the course of a single day.  The adaptation was penned by Cronenberg himself and cast is currently rounded out byMarion Cotillard who will play Pattinson’s wife and Paul Giamatti as one of the two men stalking the billionaire. Let’s just slow this down for a second: Robert Pattinson and Marion Cotillard are going to play a married couple? Please.

So why has Farrell bailed? Well, with the actor signed recently signed on to star in the “Total Recall” reboot that is scheduled to go in front of cameras this spring, roughly around the same time as Cronenberg’s film and we figure the bigger paycheck won out. The current plan is for Pattinson to finish his work on “Twilight: Breaking Dawn” with Bill Condon and move right on over to Cronenberg’s film.

Well, we suppose we’re glad “Cosmopolis” is still getting made but we think the Pattinson casting is totally, totally wrong. But maybe he’ll prove us wrong…..right?”

Um yes Kevin you WILL be proven wrong.

Update on Rob’s People’s Choice Appearance

Well I hate to be the bearer of some kind of bad news – well bad because it means we might only get to glimpse Rob for a short time since  according to Gossip Cop:

“Gossip Cop is told exclusively by a source close to Pattinson that the actor is flying from the Breaking Dawn set in Louisiana to the awards show in L.A., just “for an hour, then back to the set.”

We have a gut feeling Pattinson won’t be leaving the People’s Choice Awards empty-handed.”

Hmm like I mentioned in this morning’s post – it might explain Rob’s last minute inclusion in the guest list, but I didn’t know they were back on set?  I thought they weren’t resuming until February, but I must admit am not following that movie set so closely.

    Sticky Post: Site Maintenance

We just wanted to let you know that this week we are going to be doing some more site maintenance.  Nothing big like the last time (thankfully lol) but we are going to be upgrading WordPress so hopefully *crosses fingers & toes* all those annoying little problems that we all experience from time to time will be fixed.  If the site does temporarily disappear while we are conducting this maintenance, don’t worry, we haven’t disappeared forever & will be back, but in the meantime you can find us on our blog & of course see all our updates via Twitter. We hope that these upgrades will only take short amount of time.  We have made this post a ‘sticky’ one so it stays at the top for everyone to see.  For all our latest posts, all you’ll need to do is scroll down.  Thanks everyone!

    Golden Years: Fast Forward Cedric

Well it’s really Fast Forward Rob talking about Cedric, but we won’t get into semantics … right.  Anyway I thought I’d put this together as a little treat as we wind down, as Michelle said this morning, our Golden Years series.    I’m really going to miss it, but for those who want to see them again, they are all saved at RPAU’s Vimeo account which you can access from the Video page.  Also, we’ve had a few issues with our host going down and doing maintenance which means noone can access the site (including us).  Whenever this happens we normally tweet something about it, but we realise not everyone follows us on Twitter, so if you don’t and you think we have shutdown or moved, then I recommend you bookmark our blog site which we use whenever the site is unavailable.  In future, if the site is down for more than 10 minutes, then we will update the status here and also post updates which we will then eventually move back over to the main site when it’s back up and running.  Well enough of my chatter, here’s my little gift to you all.
