Initial Reactions to High Life screening at TIFF 2018

Another divisive film – how unusual of Rob …  he sure knows how to get a reaction and I love him for his fearlessness in roles.  I also appreciate everyone has their own opinions and sometimes people just don’t like the films they expect to enjoy – it’s happened to me so I totally get it. THE SWEET

There is so much happening in HIGH LIFE but it has some of the best visual storytelling I’ve ever seen. It’s hard to watch but impossible to look away. Rob Pattinson said “y’all didn’t wanna nominate me for Good Time? Watch this”

The performances were fine, but there didn’t seem to be much of a plot and there were a lot of scenes that were extremely disturbing. The latter is what had me finally walking out.
