The thing about these is they just keep drawing me back. Yes, I know all images of Rob do that. But these connect with on a different level. True art.

This is the explanation for the shoot from Danielle’s website:

“Danielle shot actor Robert Pattinson for Premiere France. Robert’s new film, Rover, is a dark and twisted thriller set in Australia. It’s new territory for the heretofore heartthrob and the images here reflect the new terrain explored.”

There was definitely conjecture when the pics first came out. My initial perception of the shoot was that “Rob was a work in progress”. It’s always good though to have the full idea behind the shoot and what they were trying to portray.

I also get that some people don’t and won’t like it, and that’s fine, but I enjoy watching Rob evolve before our eyes.

Thanks Maria – Art is never simple and it is wonderful to have clarity on the inspiration here.
Rob’s willingness to open himself to ‘new territory’ is what makes being a fan of his career so worthwhile.
Rob has embraced many challenging opportunities. Literally taking all that is thrown at him so beautifully. Danielle’s work is a mesmerizing testament to that.

Mmmm. Is it just me, or does Rob look like a giant, lickable toffee apple in that last pic? Yummy.
