Jules’ Favourite Rob moments of 2012
Right folks, my turn….I’m bringing up the rear LOL There’s (some) cheating and rambling from me as usual….get comfortable ;) I’m posting this now before I change my mind about anything hahaha
Favourite photoshoot – L’Uomo Vogue
Caitlin Cronenberg’s shoot for L’uomo Vogue takes it for me. They are all incredibly inspiring and beautiful in their own right and if I have to pick one….
Ok, ok….if I have to pick one it’s going to be this one….he’s my very own superhero spaceman complete with nipple armoury. *giggles*
During the interview with Jimmy Fallon he mentioned the armoury and also made it sound like there were more images of him in those leather pants so….I’m keeping everything crossed for more epic, thought-provoking beauty from this shoot. Be still my beating heart.
Favourite Premiere -Â Cosmopolis, Cannes
2012 was incredibly busy for Rob and the many many premieres are proof. I swithered for a moment between Bel Ami Berlin or Toronto Cosmopolis but for me it really had to be….Cannes premiere for Cosmopolis – amazing moment in his career so far!! Folks should never underestimate how HUGE a deal the Cannes Film Festival is….so prestigious and so for Cosmopolis to be taking part AND in the competition for the Palmes d’Or? Hell yes!! Just out of this world brilliant. He just literally shone that night at the premiere and so wonderful to get those cast/director shots on the red carpet/steps. It must have been such a completely gratifying moment to be there for a film he is obviously so proud of. So there you have it. Here’s a few edits to illustrate my point. LOOK at that face. 🙂
Favourite TV Appearance
I was THIS close to choosing Rob’s appearance on Jimmy Fallon for the Twi comment and Water Wars  (his smiles and laughter just light up the room and my heart – cheesy I know, deal with it! LOL) and if you think about all the amazing interviews for Kimmel, Ellen, press junkets – there are so many funny and also insightful soundbites from him. However, my choice is *drum rolls* the George Stroumboulopoulos Tonight show – this was a wonderful show, thrown over completely to Cosmopolis and featured fantastic interviews with David and other members of the cast as well as my favourite interview this year with Rob. I can’t explain it properly, I just absolutely love this. George was a really great interviewer; fun and respectful of his guests. A few highlights were: showing Rob’s reaction to watching himself in Vanity Fair, his reaction to watching his sister sing, talking about making a career out of movies similar to Cosmopolis, changing the industry….I could go on….it is just my happy place LOL

Favourite Movie scene – Cosmopolis end scene….yes all of it.
For the swagger. This alone makes it my favourite scene. For the gun-toting Eric. This alone….makes it my favourite scene. For the gamut of emotions that show on Eric’s face throughout. This alone. For the tear….THIS….alright I’ll stop with the Benno impersonation. Ha! Truly – the whole Eric versus Benno final scene from Cosmopolis wins for me….I admit I toyed with putting any scene of Georges with Virginie or Eric and Kendra (O.M.G.) but when it came down to it this was an easy win. One of my favourite lines is on this edit – the way Rob says it, so world weary. Breaks my heart. SO many stunning and memorable moments and lines…probably my absolute favourite quote though belongs to Benno (damn him): “I have my syndromes, you have your complex. Icarus falling. YOU DID IT TO YOURSELF. Meltdown in the sun. You will plunge three and a half feet to your death, it’s not very heroic is it??….â€Â I have been trying to come up with an edit worthy of that for the longest time and I still haven’t managed….hope you enjoy this one instead. My favourite scene, one where you notice new awesome moments EVERY time you watch it, over to Rob as Eric. Thank you for everything, Mr Pattinson – 2012 was quite something.
 
Here’s to 2013….I hope it’s freaking amazing for Rob in everything he does, he deserves the very BEST always. Wishing everyone all the best for the New Year. *hugs*

And yes Rob shines like the crazy diamond that he is – Cannes always brings out the best in Rob. I can’t wait to see what 2013 brings to him and us. Exciting times ahead and just thing – he’s going to be here in Australia soon … did I mention how much I already love 2013 and its only day 1!

I have loved each and every Fav Rob moments posted as we know Rob himself is so wonderful but you ladies are also so very talented in your own right with your posts and comments.
