Some of you were upset that Chicks for Flicks wasn’t happening in Victoria, well apparently that’s not true.  I spoke with Fox today and they have confirmed that it’s happening, but at Village Cinemas.   Here’s the details:

“Our next Chicks At The Flicks event for 2011 will be an exclusive advance screening of Water For Elephants starring Reese Witherspoon, Robert Pattinson and Christoph Waltz. It’s the perfect way to catch up with your girlfriends after the busy festive season!

Chicks at the Flicks Gold Class package includes:
– Single Admission to Gold Class
– Appletiser on arrival
– Moroccan chicken cous cous*
– Indulgent flourless chocolate cake*
– Gift bag including Chicks at the Flicks blanket
Total Price: $70

* Hobart patrons may receive a different main meal and dessert to what’s advertised above.

Date: Friday 6 May, 6pm
Location: All Village Cinemas Gold Class locations

About the movie:
During the Great Depression, Jacob, a penniless 23-year-old veterinary school student, parlays his expertise with animals into a job with a second-rate traveling circus. He falls in love with Marlena, one of the show’s star performers, but their romance is complicated by Marlena’s husband, the charismatic but unbalanced circus boss.
IN CINEMAS MAY 12!”
