    Rob #6 on EW’s 30 Sexiest Stars of 2010

I’m not sure what we would do in this quiet time if Rob didn’t make all these lists, but seriously EW no. 6?  How did Anne Hathaway make no. 2 – sexy doesn’t even come to mind when I think of Anne – oh maybe there’s a reason for that lol – perhaps I should go and ask a male – don’t get me wrong I love her – she’s so classy but sexy…  Vertigo somehow Ian Somerhalder beat Rob and is at no. 5.  Yeah there goes that tunnel vision again.  If you want to see who else is on the list, click on the hyperlink above, thanks EW!  Ooh and I’ve decided to use a different pic because it’s Rob not Edward who is sexy …

    rob7

“ROBERT PATTINSON (The Twilight Saga: Eclipse) Yes, Edward’s still dreamy enough to make a girl want to turn vampire to spend eternity with him, but honestly, we’re never more drawn to Pattinson than when he’s being himself, whether it’s playfully arguing with Stewart on the Eclipse DVD commentary or going door-to-door in Chicago inviting Twihards to a taping of Oprah.”

    Here’s a few more examples …

Rob Voted Best British Actor In 2010 Sugar Awards

    best-british-actor-sugar-awards-2010

Smart People the readers of PopSugar UK, very smart. Sooooo close between Rob & Daniel Radcliffe but so happy to see the right person won in the end, no offence Daniel. Here’s all the info:

We’ve been asking for your favourites of the year in our Best of 2010 polls, and you’ve been voting in your thousands! Today we’re announcing the winners in the categories of British actor and actress. Emma Watson was streets ahead of the competition getting 78% of the vote to be crowned as your pick for best British actress, with Keira Knightley and Kate Winslet in second and third place. Robert Pattinson and Daniel Radcliffe fans fought hard for their favourite to win the poll, but Rob won out with 47% of the vote to Daniel’s very respectable 46%. Hugh Laurie came in third.

Love to see Rob win these polls.  Of course we already know he is #1, but still it’s always nice to see his work recognised & appreciated.

Rob #6 on Forbes List of Hollywood’s Highest Grossing Actors

Rob listed at no. 6 on Forbes.com list of Hollywood’s Highest Grossing Actors for 2010:

    forbes

“#6 Robert Pattinson $749 million – The Twilight films have been perennial earners, so it’s no surprise to see Pattinson on this list.  He ranks above his costar Kristen Stewart thanks to Remember Me, a weepy romance that earned a healthy $56 million on an estimated budget of $16 million. Pattinson’s next film is an adaptation of the bestselling book Water for Elephants.”

Well it seems that Forbes did in fact “remember” Rob thanks to the box office takings for Remember Me.  If you want to see who else is on the list, then click on the hyperlink above – he’s in some pretty good company that’s for sure.  In case you want to know how Forbes compiles its list:

“In Hollywood it’s all about the box office. If your film brings in big bucks, expect producers, studios and casting directors to come calling. Here are the actors whose films grossed the most in 2010. We gave each star credit for the entire global box office of each film he or she starred in. We didn’t count animated movies.  For the sake of this list, we’re only looking at box office gross. We looked at the earnings for the top films of the year and credited each star the entire box office. So if an actor starred in two big movies (like DiCaprio did) he got credit for both. We did not include animated films, although they were some of the top-earning of the year, because the stars aren’t really the big draw for those films.”

    Rob #3 on IMDb’s STARmeter™ Top 25 for 2010

     sexdrive

Rob has slipped to No. 3 on IMDb.com’s 2010 Year in Review of Top 25 STARmeter rankings:

“3. Robert Pattinson (Last year: #1)  Our favorite sparkly vampire tumbled from the top spot this year, even as Eclipse escalated Twilight fever to unforeseen heights. Don’t worry, Edward — Remember Me, we don’t.

These STARmeter™ rankings were not based upon critical assessments or box-office performance but the actual search behavior of the more than 100 million monthly unique users of IMDb.com. The results are an aggregate of weekly STARmeter rankings from IMDbPro.com.”

Oh ahahahaha – sorry but whoever wrote that is lame.  Rob was actually replaced at No. 1 by Johnny Depp who, by the way, was No. 3 last year – so they have just swapped.   Personally if I was going to be bumped off the no. 1 pedestal I couldn’t think  of anyone better than Mr Depp himself.  I gather that since he’s No. 3 NOT  33 or 103 Rob not Edward clearly hasn’t been forgotten and last time I checked it’s the Top 25 so he must be doing something right – lame so so lame – imagine that’s the best this hack could come up with to write – the colour green comes to mind for some reason.  If you want to see full list, click on IMDB hyerplink above.

Christina Ricci talks Rob (again) but this time on Rachel Ray

I know I’ve paid out on Christina before for always chatting Rob to get herself attention, but well it’s about Bel-Ami and she said that Rob’s “adorable” – how was I suppose to go past that.  Then I realised – hang on I talk Rob everyday too – maybe I should do a post every time I chat about him.  LOL   Oh and for the record – the name “Guy de Maupassant” should only ever be uttered by Rob.

Vote for Rob in BuzzSugar’s Best Dramatic Actor 2010

It’s a slow day and believe me it’s not been a good one for me, so I thought I’d turn it around and have a little vote for Rob.  BuzzSugar wants to know:

“You’ve already weighed in on the guys who tickled your funny bone in 2010, but let’s talk about the men who moved you. Over the past year, we were wowed by these dramatic actors, as they turned in riveting performances. Is it any wonder that several are already up for Golden Globes? Tell us who you think is most deserving of recognition and vote below.”

    buzzsugar

So don’t wait – vote here - I did and Rob’s killing it at the moment.   Ooh and I love that Rob is there with Mr Darcy and how sweet, Andrew is right next to him.  Hmm I think I prefer this photo of Rob and Andrew only because he’s sandwiched between Rob and TomStu which is WIN!  Hahaha.

Dark Horizons lists Bel-Ami as a Notable Film for 2011

    ba1

Garth Franklin from Dark Horizons has released a list of films he thinks we need to look out for in 2011 and this smart man has included Bel-Ami on that list.  It’s an interesting article and gives us a little more insight into the film.  It also tells us that it’s not hitting the UK until August 2011 which means maybe my prediction about Cannes isn’t that far off.  I mean Inglorious Bastards was shown there just before it’s official release in 2009 … right and that ended up with Oscar nominations and wins.  Hmmm maybe just maybe they want to continue the bastard theme – you know considering Rob plays a “manwhoring ruthless bastard” *evilgrin*.

    “Bel Ami

    Opens: 2011
Cast: Uma Thurman, Robert Pattinson, Christina Ricci, Kristin Scott Thomas
    Director: Declan Donnellan, Nick Ormerod

Summary: In Belle Epoque-era Paris, a former French soldier from the lower class returns from Algeria and becomes a journalist. Through a series of affairs with well-connected women, he uses his looks and smarts to make his way up the social ladder.

Analysis: Though sharing the same name as Europe’s most prestigious hardcore gay porn studio (Maria:  yeah don’t we know that thanks to Google), a fact that made many a headline writer’s day when “Twilight” hunk Robert Pattinson was cast, the film is actually an adaptation of acclaimed French author Guy de Maupassant’s second novel in 1885. The story is familiar, a young man basically screws over and just plain screws his way into high society, yet it’s also considered one of the great books of its time and remains a perennial favourite in certain countries.

A lot of the novel’s appeal however is de Maupassant’s legendarily efficient and involving prose, a writing style that inspired countless others from W. Somerset Maugham to Friedrich Nietzsche, and one that will be very difficult to translate to the screen. It’s also very much a classic French tale, so an English adaptation will likely get a hostile reception in western Europe even if it’s good – if it’s sub-par then god help anyone trying to do promotion for it over there.
