Robert Pattinson and Matt Reeves sneak peek at The Batman
So we no longer have to wait to see Rob’s take on The Batman/Bruce Wayne. It gives me chills – the whole teaser and Rob’s Batman voice – far exceeded my expectations. Here is Matt’s vimeo as well as Rob’s intro – WB know him well – Rob wasn’t allowed to say anything
Here’s some paraphrased comments from Matt Reeves during the DCFandome:
The Bat suit is practical – idea is Bruce made himself and so Rob had input into the suit so that he could move and fight in it. Rob had input into the Bat suit because he has to make sure he can move and fight in it. Matt also confirms that Rob’s Batman is Year Two – so he goes out looking for fights etc and rips have to remain in the bat suit etc.
Rob spoke to Christian Bale and Bale told Rob to make sure when you are wearing the suit you are able to “relieve yourself”!
On why he chose Rob for the role
Matt Reeves says Rob is an incredible actor the work Rob has done in last 6 years. A friend of his worked on The Lost City of Z and when Matt says he saw Rob with the beard he had to ask – who is that. Rob has so much charimsa. He is like a chameleon and is such a gifted actor in a really incredible way and is a tremendous passionate fan of Batman. It was incredible to connect with him and share excitement for the character. He has the soul of someone who can play a Batman that we haven’t seen before.
Here’s the latest trailer released today by Warner Bros with loads more scenes of Rob as Neil. Having seen the film this morning I can vouch that Rob is definitely a “scene stealer”. Loved the character he created as Neil.
This trailer has a few scenes that are new to me although I have to admit I’ve been trying to avoid too many spoilers (not that you can ever figure out what a Nolan film is about from the trailer)

The 3 short clips below are from scenes featuring Rob and obviously contain spoilers. If you would prefer to wait to see the film as a whole, then I suggest not clicking on any of the clips. I know the temptation is strong.
