I promised a smiling theme for August and so here it is. As usual, it’s been a difficult task to decide which to include, but Michelle and I sifted through 1000s of photos – believe me that’s not an exaggeration – and decided on the three below – Majestic Pier, Cannes; Comicon 2008, San Diego and of course, the 2009 Oscars. I wish I could sway you towards my favourite but it’s impossible to actually pick one this month. Rob – why must you make it so hard for us to choose! Please vote here or through widget on the main page.Â
Rome Rob (it was my choice so I should be very very happy, but I became very partial to Inglorius Basterds) was our clear winner for July with a resounding 53 votes (Sex Drive came in second with 48 (hmm same as last month’s second place – spooky)  and Inglorius Basterds with 38 votes). I will now add this photo to our FANS page.  Thanks to everyone who voted and I will shortly post the choices for August. No need to minmise – right.
Just a reminder that voting for July’s “Pic of the Month†closes next Sunday 12 July at 6.00 pm. So there’s still time to pick your favourite from the 3 photos above either by voting here or through the widget on the main page. It’s pretty close between 2 of them and I have to say I’m a little sad for the Inglorius Basterd photo as I am a little partial to it – but any photo of Rob is great – right. Thanks to those who have voted so far and I’m thinking perhaps a smiling Rob theme for August – Michelle we better start cracking on narrowing down those photos – so many to choose!
Since July is an auspicious month (both Cilla and I will celebrate birthdays – so Rob I hope you are preparing our birthday posts – there are deadlines you know). In the likely event that Rob misses the deadline – only because he’s so busy with Remember Me, I thought I should somehow include one of my favourite photos into the July theme (Hmmm how to get Rome Rob in the July post). I know let’s do Film Festivals/Premieres! You can vote here or through widget on the main page.  So enjoy voting for your favourite and given my comment above – I thought I knew which one I would vote for, but now I’m not sure – Rome, Inglorius Basterds, Sex Drive?? Why Rob, why do you have to make it so difficult!Â
The Order of the Phoenix premiere (and who says subliminal brainwashing doesn’t work) was our clear winner for June with a resounding 58 votes (Chou Chou came in second with 48 and surprisingly Interview only had 21 votes). I will now add this photo to our Fans page.  Thanks to everyone who voted and I will shortly post the choices for July.
Just a reminder that voting for June’s “Pic of the Month” closes next Friday 12 June at 6.00 pm. So there’s still time to pick your favourite from the 3 photos above either by voting here or through the widget on the main page. I’m still favouring the Harry Potter one, but only time will tell. Thanks to those who have voted so far and I’m thinking film premieres/festivals  as a theme for July because the clocktower would be too obvious.
