Dreamboat Records has a short preview of one of the tracks featured on the ‘How To Be Soundtrack’ This preview not only features music but also some dialogue from the film. The scene this track is taken from would have to be my most favourite in the whole movie. I really enjoyed listening to this little sneak peak & I’m sure you all will too.

If you haven’t already pre-ordered the soundtrack, there is an option at the above link where you can do just that. I’m really looking forward to receiving my copy in the mail.

Please click here to listen to the preview.

Catherine talks to KCRW about the five songs that inspired her. And guess what’s her number 2? Let Me Sign!

Here’s what she said about ‘Let Me Sign’:

Robert Pattinson’s “Let Me Sign:” Also used in the film, over Bella’s near-death scene. “After we made the whole morphing crazy dream sequence we took that on my laptop back into another little studio in the valley, and then Rob literally sang and just played to the image on the screen,” she said. “And I just watched Rob sing this song, maybe ten different times. Every time it sounded like something almost completely different, because it just came out of him, this kind of raw feeling and in a way, that was my favorite day that I’ve had in the last two years, just being there in the studio, and watching music just come out of somebody’s body.” Is it just me and anyone who’s listened to the Twilight DVD commentary, or is Hardwicke a little too into Robert Pattinson? I know. Kettle, you’re black.

Thanks to edwardemmett09 at Lion & Lamb LJ Community we are able to download a mp3 file of Rob’s ‘Edward Piano Concert’ from the DVD. I am really really hoping that we get this wonderful special feature on our DVD editions.  Until then, we have this mp3 to keep us happy.  I have to admit, I have listened to it several times already.

Please Click here to download the file.

This is taken from the ‘Dreamboat Records UK’ Facebook Page.

We’re very sorry about the change to the pre-order date. This is due to the release being pushed back to coincide with the US release of the film. It’s likely to be available from late march, you’ll be the first to know exactly when.

Wow, this news is quite disappointing. I was ready to pre-order the CD, but I guess we only have to wait for another month.

Our affiliate, Spunk-Ransom has managed to confirm that Rob will be singing 4 songs on the HOW TO BE soundtrack. Here is what they said on their website:

I can confirm that 4 tracks will have Robert singing and playing; his character in the film is a struggling musician, so they are songs he sings in the film itself.  This news will be officially announced shortly….
