The 46th Annual Saturn Awards will take place at the L.A. Marriott Burbank Hotel on October 26, … This year’s show will be dedicated to the memory of Oscar-nominated actor Robert Forster (Jackie Brown, The Black Hole, Breaking Bad), along with all of the talented individuals who have lost their lives over the past year and a half.
You may recall that Robert Forster appeared as the Old Preacher in Damsel. More surprises are to be announced in the coming weeks – hope one of the surprises is Robs’ attendance. As usual, will update if more information comes to light about that.
5 March 2021: The 46th annual Saturn Awards unveiled nominations by the Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy & Horror Films, the nonprofit that honors the year’s best in genre films, TV, home entertainment and theater and according to Deadline, Tenet received 9 nominations, one of which is for Rob for Best Supporting Actor. The other nominations are:
- Best Science Fiction release
- Best Actor (John David Washington)
- Best Film Director (Christopher Nolan)
- Best Screenplay (Christopher Nolan)
- Best Film Editing (Jennifer Lame)
- Best Film Production Design (Nathan Crowley)
- Best Film Composer (Ludwig Goransson)
- Best Film Visual/Special Effects (Andrew Jackson, Andrew Lockley, Scott Fisher, Mike Chambers)
Organisers are planning an awards ceremony later this year. I will update as soon as I know when.
