Robert Pattinson The Batman new release date is 1 October 2021
I’m not surprised the release for Rob’s The Batman has been pushed back given that three-quarters of the film is yet to be completed. Many films sites have reported the change. I am, however, surprised that Tenet is still being slated for a June 2021 release. Time will tell I guess:
“The Batman†movie from Matt Reeves had its release date pushed four months and the film will now be released on Oct. 1, 2021, Warner Bros announced on Monday.
…
Reeves has described his film as a “defining†and “very personal†story about the Dark Knight, rather than an origin story in the vein of Frank Miller’s beloved “Year One†series. According to insiders with knowledge of the project, Reeves’ film will explore Bruce Wayne’s second year as the Dark Knight detective.
Matt Reeves’ The Batman, which is currently stalled in London, will no longer open on June 25, 2021 next summer, but rather in the first weekend of October next year, October 1, a slot made famous by DC’s R-rated The Joker. Reeves told us recently that once it’s safe to resume production, the plan is to finish The Batman in London instead of re-locating. A quarter of the film is shot, and Reeves is currently sifting through footage.
Batman moves onto a date where both Paramount and 20th Century Studios have untitled movies.
“The Batman,†starring Robert Pattinson and directed by Matt Reeves, was originally expected to debut June 25, 2021, and will now launch in theaters on Oct. 1, 2021.
…
While most tentpoles have vacated their summer release dates, a few, such as “Wonder Woman 1984,†“Tenet,†Universal’s comedy “The King of Staten Island†(June 19) and Disney’s live-action “Mulan†(July 24), optimistically remain. [My emphasis]
THE HOLLYWOOD REPORTER
Warner Bros. is shifting a number of its release dates — including Matt Reeves’ The Batman — due to the ongoing impact of the coronavirus pandemic.
The Batman, starring Robert Pattinson as the caped crusader, had been set to hit the big screen June 25, 2021. It will now ride into theaters Oct. 1, 2021.

One Warner Bros. tentpole that isn’t budging from its July 17 date this summer is Christopher Nolan’s Tenet. And the studio is sticking to its Aug. 14 date so far for Wonder Woman 1984 (the sequel had initially been set to open in early June).
