Celluloid Heroes talk Rob, High Life and Rob’s career especially Cosmopolis. To listen to the podcast, click on Rob as Monte above or go to Celluloid Heroes, but pleae note there are ***MAJOR SPOILERS*** in their discussion. Celluloid heroes synopsis of this podcast is below:

On this episode, we talk about one of, if not THE, most exciting young actors working today: Robert Pattinson. He’s come a long way from his Twilight beginnings with an array of interesting choices to work with interesting filmmakers. His newest foray into auteur filmmaking comes with Claire Denis’s new film High Life. It’s an arthouse movie set in space with lots to dissect. We get into it about this one and don’t share the same feeling, although both agree that Pattinson can do no wrong. Then we get into his first departure from the Twilight series in David Cronenberg’s Cosmopolis. This is the point where we can see pivot to being a great actor. We talk about the movie and his evolution as an actor.

The Celluloid Heroes give the impression of being idiots. They don’t understand the plot points because they weren’t paying attention. And they really have no right to lend a critical voice to review Claire Denis when they’ve never even heard of her before. Also they seem to think Robert made all his Twilight movies and then made Cosmopolis. Painful.

To be honest I stopped listening after the first spoiler as I haven’t seen the film as yet and it’s hard enough trying to avoid spoilers gifs all over the internet without hearing more 🙂 Thanks for your comment

I’ve seen High Life and it was fantastic, everything I expected. There were a few threads that kept me wondering but it was not the confusing mess these reviewers made it out to be. Since I’ve seen it, I didn’t mind the spoilers but even their spoilers and guesses about the meaning were wrong.
