VARIETY

Based on the eponymous bestseller written by David Grann THE LOST CITY OF Z is the incredible true story of the British Explorer Percy Fawcett (Charlie Hunnam), who at the beginning of the 20th Century traveled to the hostile Amazon and there finds traces of an apparently extinct civilization. Convinced that these tracks come from a lost city “Z”, the search for their existence soon becomes an obsession for him. Back in England and supported by his wife (Sienna Miller), his son (Tom Holland) and his assistant (Robert Pattinson) Fawcett breaks up soon after a second time in the jungle, whereupon he disappears without a trace .

THE LOST CITY OF Z is an epic tale of courage and obsession, paying tribute to the exploratory spirit and all those who can not get away from anything and nobody to achieve something great.
Starts on March 30 THE LOST CITY OF Z in the German Swiss cinemas.
THE LOST CITY OF Z
Percy Fawcett is a British explorer who is in the Amazon to create maps of the previously unknown area. By chance, he meets an old dilapidated city, which no one has ever reported. He gives her the name “The Lost City of Z”, but when he returns home, no one believes him and his find is decried as a pipe dream.  Forced to find evidence to back up his assertions, Fawcett again returns into the jungle of Brazil. But no one ever heard of him or his companions again.
