This week has been so good to us with film updates and those stills.  GOOD TIME:  IDMbPro confirming Robert’s character name is a great start to 2017.  Cahiers du Cinema has also included the film in most anticipated lists thanks to Josh Safdie sending them that photo. The article also mentioned that Benny Safdie was playing Robert’s brother … interesting, but I think I’ll wait for more confirmation on that. I posted on Friday that it looked like Josh Safdie was hinting that Oneohtrix Point Nothing is doing the score for the film. I wake up Saturday morning to Elara Pictures and OPN both confirming on their instagrams that it’s true. Looks like we’re getting even closer to the film being finished. THE CHILDHOOD OF A LEADER:  Netflix Latin America have come to the party. The film is still being listed in lots of 2016 Best of lists. The DVD is now available in Russia.  I updated the Movie Reviews with a DVD review that claimed Robert was hardly in the film and didn’t utilise his talent.  Don’t you just love reading comments like that. It took some years but finally there are a lot more people on the same page as us. DAMSEL:  I did love reading that the film is coming out in 2017. Just when it’s coming out is still a mystery. LIFE:  If you subscribe to Fox Movies Premium (Asia) then you’re in luck.  HIGH LIFE: Possibly shooting later this year – time will tell.  IDOL’s EYE:  We already knew Robert was playing John Mendell but I like to dot my i’s and cross my t’s. THE LOST CITY OF Z:  Wow those 4 new stills – beautiful. I also found that the release date for the Czech Republic has been pushed back from February to April 2017. IN OTHER NEWS:  I’ve compiled a roundup of “Anticipated” and “Looking Foward To” lists in 2017 which I’ll add to as I come across more.  I posted 2 gorgeous black and white portraits from the Cosmopolis promo in Berlin. Thanks Posh for that heads up. Thanks to Posh I tweeted a great article on how Brad Pitt’s Plan Discover Bold Films.  Queen of the Desert has been given a PG-13 rating in the US prior to its release.  No date confirmed as yet.  Not much happening in terms of screenings next week, so am curious to see what transpires from tomorrow.  See you next Sunday.
