“The Childhood of a Leader” is the feature film of Brady Corbet and received the Award for the first Best First Film at the Venice Film Festival and the Revelation at Lisbon & Estoril Film Festival.

The film stars Robert Pattinson ( “Twilight,” “Cosmopolis”, “Maps to the Stars”), Liam Cunningham ( “Breeze of Change,” “Game of Thrones”) and Bérénice Bejo ( “The Artist”, ” The past”).

Special Session CHILDHOOD OF A LEADER attended by the director BRADY CORBET:

On February 9, Tuesday, the director BRADY CORBET be in Medea Monumental cinema to present a single session of his first feature film, THE CHILDREN OF A LEADER. This session will start at 21h30 and tickets are already on sale. Based on the homonymous tale 1939, Jean-Paul Sartre, CHILDREN OF A LEADER is an allegorical and chilling insight into the rise of fascism in the twentieth century. Tells the story of a young American guy living in France in 1918 and whose father works for the government of the United States in the creation of the Versailles Treaty. What he witnesses end up shaping her ideals and personality, giving birth to a terrifying ego. Loosely inspired by childhood experience of many of the great dictators of the twentieth century and imbued with a frightening reality, CHILDREN OF A LEADER is a realistic portrayal of the emergence of evil. The film tells the cast with Robert Pattinson, Bérénice Bejo, STACY MARTIN LIAM CUNNINGHAM, as well as soundtrack in charge of SCOTT WALKER. BRADY CORBET, 27, is best known for his work as an actor, and has worked with renowned directors such as Lars von Trier (Melancholia), Michael Haneke (Funny Games ), Noah Baumbach (While we’re Young) and Sean Durkin (Martha Marcy May Marlene), and also participated in movies Saint Laurent, Eden, Clouds of Sils Maria and Force Majeure. CHILDHOOD oF a LEADER won the Prize ” best First Film “and” best Director “(Orizzonti Award) at 72 Film Festival in Venice, where it caused enormous feeling for its disruptive approach to the subject, ambition and boldness. He won also the prize “Revelation TAP 2015” in the latest edition of the Lisbon & Estoril Film Festival. In this special session, the director will also receive the prize that was awarded in LEFFEST him.

Oh wow & Brady will be receiving his LEFFEST prize, how wonderful. So exciting for Brady & the film, all of those who attend are in for a wonderful night.
