The anticipation of waiting to see Rob as a character in his latest movie is always tough.  But then the excitement that surrounds the first still released.  That happens to me for every one of Rob’s films, but when I glimpsed Rey I knew we were in for something special.  Here’s a selection of a few (or most) of my faves of Rey.  Still gutted that Rob was overlooked for this effective portrayal.

Love, love, love, love your Rey montage Maria. Thank you. I agree with your comment about Rob being overlooked, I still don’t get why he was overlooked. Anyone, even if not a fan of Rob could see just how exceptional he was in his portrayal of Rey. Rob, Guy, David, The Rover all should have been acknowledged in the world of awards.

My only explanation is the business if movie awards. I just don’t trust awards signal out the best, without other factors also being in play… and The Rover didn’t play.
Rob was magnificent. Brilliant. Transformative. Guy was magnificent, and already respected to boot. Same goes for many other elements of the movie.
It is either too soon after Twi or lobby factors. Things that Rob will never be able to control. So many other masterful actors have been overlooked for awards through their long careers.
I would love to see Rob rewarded as he should be. In the mean time, I will throw my own party every single time I watch Rey. Actually, I wont, because I will be emotionally spent, as that is what The Rover does. It punches you in the stomach and makes you think about life. No statue will change that. Bravo
