Wowza Jules birthday kicked our week off with a BANG!  And what a week it’s been.  It looks like The Trap has picked up its first distributor with Mars Distribution France (who also distributed Spring Breakers) coming on board.  They’ve actually added it to their website if you click on the hyperlink.  The Trap also looks like it’s not going to be filming in the next few months, but more likely towards the end of the year given that IMDbPro changed the release date to 2017.  I don’t mind since we should be getting both Brimstone and Lost City of Z in 2016.  Just pacing ourselves.  Speaking of both those films – Martin Koolhoven tweeted yesterday that he’s hoping we get the film some time in second half of 2016 and The Lost City of Z is chugging along picking up worldwide distributors.  We can welcome Italy and South Korea into the fold of peeps who will eventually see this film.   You’ll see that Lionsgate will be promoting The Trap at Cannes this year and that The Childhood of a Leader is having a promo screening too.  So although Rob won’t be at Cannes in person, as far as we know, he’ll be there in spirit.  And hopefully he’ll be back there next year with one of these films.  Maps to the Stars was finally released on DVD in the US … woot woot.  I’ve also found a few more dates for DVD releases and links for where the DVD is currently available to purchase.  And whilst I was doing that I came across a release date for The Rover.  Lordy the Brazilians must be patient people waiting this long until they get it on DVD|Blu-ray and here I thought we lagged behind.  Anyway come 30 April they’ll be happy bunnies.  The Chinese are also lucky with The Rover screening at the 5th Beijing International Film Festival on 22 April.  How I’d love to watch that film on the big screen again.  I’m going to sound like a broken record but how gorgeous are Jules’ edits of Rob from Breaking Dawn.  B.E.A.U.T.I.F.U.L.  We might not get edits on a regular basis Jules, but I’m happy to get whatever and whenever you get inspired.  We decided to take a few walks down memory lane with our random posts.  There’s so much Rob goodness available to us at our fingertips – there’s never a shortage of Rob.  Life somehow is getting an “R” rating in the US.   I wasn’t expecting any coarse language, sex or nudity in Life, but *shrugs* will be interesting to see if it gets an M or MA rating here in Australia.  I tell you what else I wasn’t expecting, that gorgeous behind the stills shot of Rob on the set of Bel Ami.  That cheeky smile.  One of my fave reactions from him.  I promise I will let go of Idol’s Eye *whispersmaybe* but I’ve been intrigued by the blame game that’s been happening.  Either way I hope Assayas gets his way although I thought Benaroya had the rights *anothershrug* but I don’t care as long as we finally see ‘stache Rob as John Mendell *agirlcandream*.   Until next week …
