Fabulous news to wake up to for Rob.

Rob and Maps to the Stars have been nominated for 11 Canadian Screen Awards.  Rob is nominated for Best Supporting Actor as is his costar John Cusack.  The 11 nominations are:

1. Best Motion Picture: Maps to the Stars – Martin Katz, Michel Merkt, Saïd Ben Saïd
2. Achievement in Direction: David Cronenberg “Maps to the Stars”
3. Achievement in Editing:  Ron Sanders
4. Achievement in Music – Original Score: Howard Shore
5. Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role: Evan Bird
6. Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role: John Cusack
7. Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role: Robert Pattinson
8. Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role: Julianne Moore
9. Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role: Mia Wasikowska
10.  Achievement in Overall Sound – Christian Cooke, Michael O’Farrel, Orest Sushko
11. Original Screenplay: Bruce Wagner

Update:   The Academy of Canadian Film & Television’s media release provides more information about the event:

“The Academy of Canadian Screen Week features ten events in seven days, beginning February 23 and culminating with the Canadian Screen Awards Broadcast on CBC, live from the Four Seasons Centre for the Performing Arts in Toronto, on March 1, 2015,at 8pm (8:30 NT)”

They’ve also released video of the press conference (watch if you click on GQ Rob.  Scroll down to the video “Cara Gee & Jared Keeso Announce Nominees for the 2015 Canadian Screen Awards”.  The category for Best Supporting Actor nominations is at about 21.13.  PS.  I didn’t choose GQ Rob that’s what the CSAs have as their official Rob photo *shrugs*   And I watch the promo reel and Rob’s not in it *sadpanda*).
