Update on Australian Screenings of Maps to the Stars

Maps To The Stars
Most of you are not going to like this. RPAU has had confirmation from eOne ANZ that the two cinemas in Sydney and Melbourne will be the only ones screening Maps to the Stars. The film will also screen during the Perth Film Festival next year. I believe that is scheduled to happen between 2 and 12 July 2015. Will keep you updated if any information changes. If reposting this information please credit RPAustralia.

I’m happy that I will get to see it but soooo very sad that so many people will miss out. Why? Why? and Why?

So so disappointed 🙁 The only piece of joy I get is that some of us will see Jerome on the big screen.
Thanks for the updates Maria.

Oh god, I might not have the patience to wait till NEXT JULY to see this movie for the first time, but I will pay to see it again when it finally screens in my home town. Talk about shutting the gate once the horse has bolted… Thanks for going to the trouble of finding out for us, Maria. Disappointing to realise how little inde film are supported in this country.

Looks like it’s Sydney-here-I-come. There’s no way I’m NOT seeing this one on the big screen. Might need to work on a cover story though. “Just popping to Sydney to see Rob/a movie” is getting a little repetitive in my household……

So ridiculous *shakes head* Thanks for the update, yay for those who will get to see it.

@Sue *waves* work conference maybe? I might be able to try that one….hmmmmmmmm 😃

This sucks. I really am guttered for all those Rob fans, and quality movie fans, that are going to miss out here.

There’s a screening on Saturday night at the Canberra International Film Festival, don’t know if you’ve posted it elsewhere (couldn’t see anything) but thought it was worth mentioning for those outside of Sydney/Melbourne who are unable to make it there.
