Oooooh, how exciting is this news – Rob & Joel together 😀 Have said it before & I’ll say it again, the cast for this movie is just fantastic. Oh how I cannot wait! Thanks to Variety:

Joel Edgerton has joined the cast of Anton Corbijn’s period drama “Life,” opposite Robert Pattinson and Dane DeHaan.

Shooting started recently in Ontario, Canada, on the film, which Corbijn is directing from a script by Luke Davies (“Candy”). The film also stars Alessandra Mastronardi.

The story centers on the friendship that developed between photographer Dennis Stock (Pattinson) and actor James Dean (DeHaan) when Stock was commissioned to photograph the star for Life magazine in 1955. The assignment took the pair on a photographic journey from Los Angeles to New York and on to Indiana.

Edgerton will portray Magnum Photography editor John Morris, who brokered the deal for the photos with Life.

Edgerton recently wrapped production on “Exodus” and “Midnight Special” and will soon begin shooting alongside Johnny Depp on “Black Mass.”

Edgerton is represented by CAA and Shanahan Management. Bob Wallerstein is his lawyer.

Producers are See-Saw Films’ Iain Canning and Emile Sherman with Christina Piovesan of First Generation Films. The film is co-produced by Wolfgang Mueller and Benito Mueller of Barry Films and financed by Corner Piece Capital, LLC, Telefilm Canada, Film4, Screen Australia, Michel Merkt and Union Bank, N.A.

FilmNation Entertainment is handling international sales.

So great to see Joel carving out an international career – he’s so talented, and not just as an actor, either. He’s come a long way from those Yellow Pages ads, that’s for sure! Love to see hard work and perseverance pay off. This film is like a magnet for talent that keeps getting stronger and stronger – it’s pulling in some fantastic people! So happy Rob’s involved!
