Well I guess if I’m ever travelling through a pit stop at Marree might be on the cards thanks to the caption with the photo:

“The ute as seen in the trailer (and the movie) is now permanently housed at the Marree Hotel.”

Thanks Liz for the tip.

Nothing quite like getting home at 1.00am in the morning and mindlessly turning on the TV, only to be greeted with The Rover (aka “another light comedy”) trailer on my screen. Thank you Channel 10 & AACTA!

Great photo of cast and crew and The Marree Hotel. How cool is that, having the ute parked there permanently? Good for them!

Hmm, the second thing I noticed about this cast/crew shot is that everyone (apart from the dude in the red shirt) is very colour co-ordinated in blues, blacks and whites. Co-incidence? No prizes for guessing the FIRST thing I noticed! (LOL)

Such a great pic & how awesome the ute is permanently housed there at the hotel. Awesome for Marree!

LOL Trish! Ah, that would have been perfect Sue 🙂 Still giggling at Jacki’s comment hehe.

I love the way the whole town was respectful of The Rover project and the actors by waiting till the appropriate time to shout from the rooftops that they hosted all this genius. I dip my hat you you all, Marree. The ute is a fitting tribute and now we have an unlikely mecca here in Oz

It’s definitely not new Sare, but I don’t think we posted it here at RPAU when it was floating around before as it wasn’t from an official account.

LOL! I had no idea what a “ute” is over there so I googled it. Now I know! Here a Ute is a native American Indian tribe and I couldn’t find one in the picture. LOL
