And whilst we are talking The Rover .. it’s made another “most anticipated” list for 2013.   The Filmstage lists it at no. 23 … 23?  That’s my lucky number no joke.

Synopsis: A dirty and dangerous near-future western set in the Australian desert.

Why We’re Looking Forward To It: The last time Guy Pearce starred in a Australian western we got John Hillcoat‘s fantastic The Proposition. This time around, we’ve got Animal Kingdom director David Michod, Robert Pattinson (proving his talent in David Cronenberg‘s Cosmopolis), the underappreciated Scoot McNairy (Killing Them Softly, Argo, Monsters) and a near-future setting — it’s safe to say we’re quite excited. With a shoot gearing up in a few months, we hope this one will make it to theaters before the year’s end. – Jordan R.”

See that “proving his talent in David Cronenberg’s Cosmopolis” … so glad some critics are  not blinded by prejudice.

    There are always going to be people hating Maria. Some people are just too stuck in their ways to appreciate when their opinion in someone is challenged.

    I wonder if Rob will have to master an Oz accent for the role? I suppose if the man can learn to sing and speak in Polish, the weird accent shouldn’t present too much of a problem for him. I volunteer for accent coaching. Absolutely free. And free accomodation. Thought I’d put that out there…
